I don't think that is a bug. The music in the ancient era is reactive to the player. The layers of additional intruments come in as the player does things. Until the player does, the previous tracks just loop until you build something, them another layer of sound. It's a really good system, and I miss it as we move forward in the civ titles.

I've never played the newer ones. Can't you? You can in real life. It's called being a forester. Are you sure you aren't just doing it wrong?

They can't be replanted because people might abuse the chop hammers produced and it would probably be tedious. (in Civ 3 you only get hammers the first time you chop them) In Civ 4 forests and jungles only spread by themselves, very slowly (you can build an improvement to somewhat increase the chance of that happening). In Civ 5 forests do not spread and cannot be replanted. But they are useless 90% of the time anyway, because they are always 1/1 food/production (although it would be nice to able to forest those weak 1 food tundra tiles).
