Well... sure, but that's almost never going to happen. In that case there are tons of other civs that could also theoretically have unfavored start locations for their respective abilities but there's not much point thinking about that considering how unusual that is

Finally, I got to play this civ. Wow, this kampung improvement alone is a really big game changer and make Indonesia very unique than other civs. You can make TALL empire on ISLANDS! But seriously, you can support 20 population with 1 tile island city with this civ. Well farm improvement only give you 0.5 housing but a single kampung can give you 1-2 housing (in modern tech). I wanna try science victory with Indonesia lol

I can't help but feel that they named this Civ wrong. It isn't Indonesia, it's Majapahit. The Majapahit only controlled a portion of the modern day territory of Indonesia. The word Indonesia wasnt even a thing when this leader was alive. It's like calling the Maori Civ "New Zealand", or calling Rome "Italy".

Queen Tribhuwana Tunggadewi looks kinda muscular with well-developed deltoids... :P Thankfully she moves gracefully... Southeast Asia is only represented by Khmer Empire (Cambodia) and Majapahit Empire (Indonesia) in CIV VI. Bet our neighbour gamers are envious, and beg CIV to feature their country too... :) (what can I say, we have cool maritime culture, exciting history, great theme music etc.). Indonesian wkwk troops will started their "overproud" antics... I like Majapahit Javanese civilization, but featuring older Sumatran thalassocratic Srivijaya empire might be interesting too. Btw, the gamelan background music theme is more Balinese than Javanese, sounds like gamelan "Rejang Dewa" (sacred dance of gods), beautiful..! Yet the old "Udan Mas" (golden rain) Javanese gamelan music in CIV V sounds more regal and glorious. Fun facts: The "Exalted Goddess of Three Worlds" is actually the translation of her regnal name in Kawi/Old Javanese and Sanskrit "Tribhuwanottunggadewi". CIV developing and programming team has done good research... Welldone..! While the rest of her regnal name "Jayawishnuwardhani" means "the glory of Vishnu growing/radiating/increased". Her early/younger maiden name Dyah Gitarja; "Gita Reja" means the " spirited song".

i'm Indonesian and been waiting for this to happen!! Thanks a lot Firaxis!! One big suggestion though: considering your current "Earth" map, Indonesia is an archipelago area with only 1-3 six-square per island, not to mention Java island is already occupied with city-state of Jakarta (I played as Australia in TSE location several times, so quite familiar with this). So I guess you will update the "Earth" map as soon as you release Indonesia?

The Philippines has been under attack for centuries but still held on to their islands and people’s throughout the years. Jose Rizal was the first Filipino and helped succeed from the Americans to be an Independent nation. Also, the whole “hasn’t done anything significant in history” remark is just as useful as a chocolate tea pot. Geondak for Korea must’ve been one of the worst Korean leaders by selling and giving up so many Korean castles and defensive positions but they made her leader for some reason.. so..
