I just picked up the version with black micarta scales & dama steel. Got mine for 70 bucks, "used my bladehq member points to knock down the price". This is one awesome knife and the locking system is just as good as my shark lock AD's.

I asked Civivi and FG does stand for Field Grade. Core steel is 10Cr15CoMov clad with alternating layers of 5Cr15Mov and 316. The clip position was the one thing that stopped me from getting the Vision R. Just didn't want it twisting against me or my pocket 🤷‍♂️ I did buy this very model of the Vision FG and I am very much looking forward to getting it in.

Maybe this is super obvious, but I've found that a magic eraser is the best way to remove stains/marks from white g10.

Careful…taking apart…I was in my kitchen and when I pulled the back scale off… parts flew! 😫😭..THANKFULLY I walked into the living room to check the score on the ballgame and saw the pin that holds the spring in! It was laying on my rug 20 feet away! I got LUCKY!😂😂😂. COOL KNIFE!

The hole in the front is so you can look inside and see how the lock works. I really don't care about seeing the lock engage, but whatever. Seems like that will increase the odds of pocket lint getting into it. I was going to get the green micarta version, but the more I looked at this version, the more I liked the look of it so ended up ordering this one. Should be here tomorrow. Normally I'm not a big damascus fan, but this one really looks good to me for whatever reason.

I would swap the Damascus blade to the R if i were you 😁 I have a red Sentinel Strike, absolutely love it, ergonomics and blade shape are great, love the red sheen of the aluminum handle. It's slightly big, but not too heavy at all, its a good work knife

I simply screwed the clip from the Böker Magnum blue Jay onto the Civivi Vision fg. Visually, in terms of feel and in everyday life, it fits perfectly. 😅🤷‍♂️👍

Stassa23 put a Civivi titanium clip on it and it alleviates the 'hot spot' the stock clip produces.

Hey bud I need some advice…I was wondering how much the lock feels like a flipper tab in comparison. I’m not a fan of thumb tabs so I just want to make sure it’s close. Seems like a great knife otherwise. Thanks for your input. Keep making great content.

I have the same one but for me is the WE Vision R a way much better! I am not so impressed but for 100€ its okay! Only the Clip is better for me as from the Vision R! I have now both Damast Modell! 😉

agreed, id rather have the thumbhole than the studs. also 100% on the babying my vision r lol. exactly why i got the fg, so i can beat the shit out of it lmao. studs look like shit on such a sleek knife. the clip on the fg is a downgrade imo. most folks just screech about vision r clip even tho theyve never even used it or theyre not putting it in the corner of their pocket so its sits dumb lol. nothing ive used comes even close to being as discreet and as functional for sweats and athletic wear than the vision r clip. on top of that it doesnt snag or bump into shit

That could be really nice without the three holes and scale cover nasty waffle texture. A smooth polish on scale covers would be better.
