Only 540 hp from a 16 cylinder engine? 0-60 in 4 seconds? I guess that was good for the time but now it would be terribly inefficient. I wonder what the gas mileage would be?

Number of cylinders does not really influence the power. The XJ220 had about the same power with a V6. The Bugatti EB 110 had about the same power with a V12. 0-60 was in about 4 seconds yes.

@@nbagoats4819 In the early 1990s, you had the diablo, the xj220, the EB110, then the McLaren F1, perhaps you could also mention the Dodge Viper. Plus the Ferraris. Guys at Cizeta Moroder probably wanted to distinguish themself from the competitors and went for a solution that nobody else implemented. The EB110 had four turbos, 4wd, they also wanted to do something different. Years later, the successor of the EB110, the B Engineering Edonis, went back to RWD only and two turbos only. Still, 16 cylinders for a 6.0 liter engine makes sense. 375 ccm of displacement per cylinder.
