Installed the Corsa Xtreme Cat-Back couple of weeks ago - great sound and NO drone👍🏻. I recommend getting the install done in shop on lift by pro's - cost me $100. And completed in 45 min. Perfect exhaust and tip alignment.

Just put this system on my 2016 Mustang GT and WOW! Just starting it up sounds amazing. As mentioned in the video you can control how loud it gets by RPM's. Let it loose and it sounds like King Kong is pissed and you better get out of the way. lol. This system is a must have if you want your Pony to sound different from the rest.

I have the corsa extreme cat back on my 2017 and my buddy has the borla attack cat back on his 2011 and both systems are very loud borla idle is slightly more noticeable with a deeper tone and is always loud with not much play in the sound and interior noise is also loud corsa interior noise is surprisingly not loud and you have way more play with the noise as to how quite or loud you want and when you get on it the corsa system will get louder then borla

I doubt they'll do that because they will have to chop the pipes on a corsa to fit the other muffler line (if they line up) thereby destroying one $1k+ otherwise salable corsa system... However if, say, someone wanted to actually buy both systems and have it done... Maybe they'd do the install for them and upload the video for us

Bill, purely in your opinion having driven them all, how would you rank this in volume with the ATAK, Roush (with H), Corsa, and S-Type? That order loud to "soft" (obviously the S-type is still a loud system, but in terms of this group)? S-type, Roush, ATAK Corsa for deepness from deep to high pitched? I currently have a ARH H catback and it's great tone/deepness but way too low in volume. Hard to tell which of these 4 I would like that are loud but deep too. Thanks for your time in advance. Oh an a suggestion since everyone asks as you said, why not use a dB meter on each system from some set distance, say 5/10 ft behind the car and rev to the same RPM, say 5,000. I think American Muscle used to have a similar scale for exhausts a few years back. It's at least a good starting point to compare.

Jon K Its always hard to answer these kind of questions. I would say the Roush with the H is still the loudest system, the Corsa would be second, the ATAK third, and the S type the quietest of this group. I have had all these on my car for a little more time than just the video and I still have the S types on the car. IMHO they are the best combination. I liked the Corsa tone but it was a little loud for me, same with the ATAK.

Bill Tumas Thanks! That actually helps a lot as it is really hard to compare in videos with no guage or scale. In terms of deep tone (coming from an ARH-H catback setup which is super deep but softer like a Magnaflow) Roush and S-type are the deepest tone I suspect? With S-type a bit deeper tone than Roush.

The axleback section of the Xtreme (Sport axleback) with a Magnaflow dual in/out TruX resonated X-pipe muffler, P/N 11386, gets a nice balance. It's about as loud as the S-types on the outside but has the Xtreme tone. I have that on my car now and love it.

Amazing videos Bill! I am stuck on getting the borla ATAK or Corsa Extreme on my 15 GT. Videos do not do as much justice as seeing and hearing the exhaust in person. What is your opinion on which one sounds nicer? I love both! I was looking at exhaust's and I want no drone but great sound still, just not super loud. I like the Corsa 3 inch catback pipe Sport best. But, Will that give me anymore horsepower over the stock? +cdc73z3 No way an exhaust alone is going to get you 30+hp and tq, not unless you're adding in long tubes. I'd be careful about what companies advertise. That 30hp gain was probably accompanied by a tune, lol or it was because they switched out the stock system on a supercharged car.

+Chris Hollier I put the Corsa Extreme on my 15 GT . it does feel stronger just with a cat back exhaust change. even my friends say the same about it being stronger . that resonator was HUGE , really heavy , and im sure was restricting air flow a lot . but anyways here is a link to gibsons web site gibsonperformance.com/products/retail_prod_annoucement.php?product_number=619013 . they have a dyno of before and after their cat back install on a 2015 . there is also a guy on instagram ( projectmenace ) he posted a baseline dyno with just cat backs hitting 399.81 HP and 366.50 torque . I was thinking the same thing about tune with long tube headers until I put the cat back on my car . you can believe what you want . I do believe there is a gain . how much of a gain im not sure of but it is felt on my car .

+cdc73z3 Are these dyno numbers corrected? If so are they SAE or STD? Also were these pulls done on a dynojet, mustang dyno, or a dynapack? What was the baseline for prohectmenace's dyno run? There are a lot of ways to create inflated numbers. Just to give you an idea, projectmenace had a 400rwhp dyno run, and Gibson with their catback only reported around 380rwhp. Big difference. Same story with torque, gibson didn't report going over 350rwtq, looks around 340rwtq... Projectmenace reported 366.5... Seeing the inconsistencies? You can point to some guy on instagram and gibson exhaust, and I can point to several communities (Mustang6g, SVTPerformance, AllFordMustangs, and various other mustang forums that I'm a member of). that say the opposite. For the S550 mustangs I'm seeing that people need a tune, intake, and exhaust and need to run 93 octane just to hit around 410rwhp. I find it hard to believe that the intake and tune only accounted for 5-10rwhp, especially when people who only have a tune and intake run way more than 5-10rwhp over their baselines. Realistically if exhausts gave you that much, and you gained similar numbers with a tune and intake (say another 25rwhp) you're looking at adding 55-60rwhp with just those 3 modifications. Stepping out onto the track tells the same story. You're not seeing reduced times or increased traps speeds that would suggest that you've added that much power your car with just those 3 modifications. I have no doubt there are gains, but you don't need gains to the tune of 30rwhp+ to actually feel them. Swings of 10rwhp simply by cooler and less humid weather are reported by people all the time - myself included. I can tell a difference between driving in 95 degree weather in South Louisiana verses 50 degree weather in the winter. There are also members who swear that exhausts feel like they do the most because of the extra sound they make, giving you the impression that more is going on. I'm not saying that that's the case but a lot of people on the forums claim that. Your Corsa improved your cars performance, but not 30+rwhp. You can believe it did, but it didn't.

I just said I can feel the difference . if I get the chance to put mine on a dyno in the near future ill come back and post my results . you have to remember that the S550 is not a 13 / 14 . there are changes with the engine and exhaust . even the cold air intake companies are stating improvements without a tune on the S550 . steeda for one is claiming 10 hp just with their CAI (www.steeda.com/steeda-proflow-mustang-cold-air-intake-manual-gt-2015-555-3193/ ). link to steeda's CAI . look at the pictures to see their dyno before and after and scroll down and read regarding they dyno sheet . Ford really restricted the air flow to meet EPA standards of other countries that the S550 is going to be shipped too . as for being fast down the track , the S550 is more of a race track car type than a drag car . it has a lot of faults for a drag car . that wheel hop for one is awful . plus the added weight . but hey I still like it . just the inside of the car sold me .

+cdc73z3 I can certainly buy a "feelable difference" just not 30+rwhp or anything close to that. It'd be interesting to dyno yours but without a baseline it would be tough to say how much you gained. You'd have to find another 2015 stock with the same transmission and that ran on the same type of dyno with the same correction to get an idea of about what you gained. As far as differences goes, nothing that would double or more what a catback would traditionally get you with the 11-14's. The only benefit I could see would be the midpipe being included with the 2015's and not with the 11-14's as far as the cat back systems goes but I can't see that doing much more than a hp or two. You can't compare it to the 11-14 midpipes because those contained the cats (they're part of the headers now in the 2015's) and obviously by adding high flow cats or not cats at all in the midpipes of the 11-14's you'd see gains over just the catback. Airaid marketed 11rwhp and tq for their no tune intakes for the 11-14 GT's so I'm not surprised that Steeda is claiming 10rwhp for the 15's. Not much has changed with regards to modding. I have no clue what you're talking about restricting the intake, the only thing I recall hearing about was how Ford was introducing some sort of new tech that would have the air "spin" as it came in to increase fuel economy, but that might have been for a different model I can't recall. As far as drag racing vs track racing goes, I don't understand the distinction and it seems we are getting off topic. Horsepower doesn't increase handling, it increases acceleration. That's what we're talking about. No one is getting 30+rwhp just off a catback system alone, unless its replacing a stock system on a supercharged vehicle or something similar. Even if you can manipulate a dyno to show such a thing its not going to pan out in real life. 10rwhp for a tunelss intake? I guess likely around 15rwhp for a tuned one. Add another 25rwhp for the tune itself. Another 32rwhp for the gibson exhaust. Those 3 alone, assuming a baseline of 370rwhp, gets you 442rwhp. That puts you in 2014+ Corvette territory in terms of power and weight. That'll make you feel good until you actually race one, get pulled hard on, and realize that most of these car companies inflate numbers to try and get you to buy their products - as almost all businesses do. Oh look, our snacks have 0 trans fat, don't worry that we reduced the serving size so small that we could round that number down from 1 to 0... Mustangs with intake+exhaust+tune trap, at best, in the 1/4 mile 118mph. That's an auto, with perfect weather (the DA was in the negatives) on a well preped track. C7 Corvettes easily trap 118, with the best ones trapping 122mph. The manufacturer claims don't match reality. You need longtunes on top of all that to equal the playing field, which realistically add 25-30hp. In other words, there is 25-30hp worth of inflation within those numbers (15 for intake that requires tune, 25 for the tune itself, and 32 for the cat back exhaust).

Drew G I have Texas Speed catted long tubes, Corsa Double Helix resonator delete and Roush axlebacks and it’s freakin loud! It might be too raspy for some but definitely an exotic sounding system.

JR M the automatic transmission is faster and if u do get manuel make sure to get the 3.73 gear ratio if not and you plan on super charging your car you might run into problems with the transmission because it's prevalent on the forums
