Glad to see you checked this out. I did this one in VR and that was a horrifying experience, especially in the section around the kitchen. You would not believe how bad the axe dropping is in VR; the game detects your grip based on your hardest grab, so if you relax your grip but still are "holding" the item, you're almost guaranteed to drop it. I spent more time grabbing the axe than using a bloody thing.

It's not on Resident Evil 7 or Home Sweet Home's level in VR but still pretty damn good. Would recommend a vr playthrough for yourself Chris

yeah as soon as I saw the methadone, I was like yeah, she was an addict... I went to a methadone clinic for many, many years... I am proud to say that I have been clean from everything (but cigs and soda lol) for around 4 or so years! this was a really fun game tho, thanks as always for the AAA content Christopher!!! love ya!

Know this and you'll know how to get the good ending: Remember how the book said the servant could be released? By killing themselves, or by tricking someone else into committing an act of great evil. Chloe never told you to kill anyone.

So who was the servant that tricked us to kill our husband so that they would be released and we would become the new servant? In the movie it was Jessica's friend that was the servant and she tricked Jessica into killing her own husband. But in the game the friend doesn't exist.

A lot of very familiar tropes done quite well. The bad ending was really phoned in, but was also very abrupt and frustrating : who's the dead person on the floor, the husband I suppose? Is Chloe dead and gone? Not a bad game, but a bit of a mixed bag.

This seems like a fun game I`d play it myself if I knew about it before but oh well.On a side note you can see how game gets more disturbing with time.For example the portrait around the house grow more messed up like the portrait above the fireplace in the room where the game starts.I like those little hidden details it makes the game a bit more fun.

The Wales Interactive seems to be doing nice games, they did that one with Siren - Maid of Sker. They are giving nice spins to old tales and I love it. This one though had a real potential for psychological horror of someone fighting/recovering from their past mistakes and uniting with their children. I'm kind of sad they didn't go that route heavily, thus I find the ending unsatisfying to be honest.

Edit, I do actually like some of the scares I shouldn't have judged before finishing it! That's the thing I have about games like this where the environment doesn't match what's going on. It doesn't fit with an old mansion type house with lit candles. Not feeling it. And the scares are meh I am interested in the story somewhat because I never see methadone mentioned! But I enjoy the commentary as always cj!

On one side it's good to see Baba Yaga as a game character. But on the other side she is portrayed as some simple demon and doesn't look at all like Baba Yaga I've read in the childhood, which is frustrating. She is much more complex and interesting :( She can help you or can be the enemy, and she is the wise and powerful entity. Also her character design kinda doesn't feel right. The game itself was meh. Also I feel like you've played it before... Didn't you?..

I would have rather have multiple endings to this game. It is a shame she killed her daughter instead of the witch. It was the witch sending all the text to make her do her bidding. I just wish that she could have killed the witch and saved her daughter.

Only 3 minutes into this video, I realised the plot of this game sounded a lot like a - not very good either - movie I saw some times ago. I searched and... yep. The movie is also called "Don't knock twice". Was released around 2016. The game's plot is exactly the same, even characters names are identical. Don't know what to think of it.
