42:19 you probably already know this, but I believe the hard to read word on the wall is "married." This game was a fun trip, even with the typos. I also laughed when the son was talking. Maybe I mistook him for being younger, but when he declared you didnt understand him...yeah, I laughed while feeling baffled about his comprehension level. The visuals were fun to experience. (Plus I'm a sucker for lighthouse themes, so maybe I'm biased. 😆) Thanks for playing it! I really enjoy your videos.

20:50 imagine if at that point there was actually another person on the island who quickly turned the light on and ran to take the boat pretending to be the lighthouse keeper, leaving us stuck on the island and it just ended like that. That might have been scarier.
@shadowjudge9212 жыл бұрын
Yes. yes, it would definitely be scarier. Of course it would also be rather comedic. I mean, imagine the lighthouse keeper on his way to the dock after handing over the lighthouse keys and so on, suddenly a shape dashes by in the darkness, and a moment later a voice shouting from the direction of the boat; "GO, GO, GO!" and the boat departs like a getaway car at a robbery.

RIP Phil Hartman. You might remember him from such films as “Jingle All The Way” and “Small Soliders”, or TV shows such as Saturday Night Live, NewsRadio- and as Troy McClure, lawyer Lionel Hutz, and other characters on The Simpsons. The character of Zapp Brannigan on Futurama was also actually specifically written for Phil Hartman, but sadly his tragic death prevented him from voicing the role.

Indeed, there were some good transitions in certain areas of this game, and I also liked that small segment where you avoided the light.... but sad to say, that's all my positives for this one. As for the negatives, here you go. Everything's scripted. Restricted to go only where you're told to go and led from end to end as you wait for something to happen. It's no different from walking in a horror house, minus the monsters. The lighter is useless, since it barely illuminates anything. The grammar wasn't proofread (and doesn't match the actual text that was on the written document). And they've included one of my pet peeves --- unnecessary writing on the walls, as if the diary wasn't enough. (And what even is 41:47-43:06. With the mix of poor voice acting, one had to wonder whether what he's saying was heartfelt or if he's just prone to reading whatever was on the walls out loud.) Lastly, let's not forget your invicible family, lol. Still, I've enjoyed the gameplay, mainly because of your commentary and reactions such as 27:38 - 28:00. XD EDIT: Just in case, the message at 42:14 was "Would it be better if I wasn't married".

This game could've been very cool; the visuals by themselves are impressive, no doubt about that. But then you have all the audio/text goofs that made it just a gigglefest. "FAILING AND DROWNING" Using American currency in England, Phil Hartman out of nowhere. I realize English isn't the dev's first language, but if you want an English-speaking audience to take the game seriously then things like that should be addressed. I was right there with CJU with laughing my butt off most of the time.

I'm guessing that obviously some of the story/dialogue got lost in translation, due to fact English isn't language of the devs, and translation you even say was added after the demo so maybe also were on a time crunch getting that put in for full game
