I barreled through Montana about 10 years ago on my Goldwing and missed a lot of sights. I hope to come back with my RV and take my time through this beautiful state. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty campground, lots of nice trees to put a comfy chair under. Always good to have nice neighbors when camping. Your control over the drone is amazing. Beautiful country. TY. 😊👍

🙋 Hello Russ! Loved the drone footage. I wasn't a fan of this campground, too close to the road, small, but did offer showers & bathrooms. Pleasant atmosphere. Safe travels to Helena.

I love the little creek rolling thru. I hate the loud freeway sound. Love that sound at Salmon River Cottonwood Campground back a ways...at $5 a night I'd be stayin there as long as I could for the summer

Hey Russ!🙋♀️Such a beautiful place! Sorry. I'm probably the only person left on the planet who's never owned a TV. You've really make me want to spend next summer in Montana and now Idaho and Oregon. Yep. Would love cooler. Thanks for the ride along on this great trip! Fun!😀🌻

Idaho and Montana looks so beautiful, in the summer that is. I suppose if you don't mind the bone-shattering cold and snow (few do) you can enjoy the uncrowded scenic beauty of life during the more temperate summer months!

I live here...about two miles up the frontage road toward Helena. Lots of back roads right there if you like that. A very nice National Forest Campground and lake (Park Lake) 16 miles up from the I 15 Clancy entrance there toward the end of the video. Or, you can head up to Sheep Mountain. Don't turn on the highway go straight. In Clancy there are two Restaurants bars. One is the Legal Tender right off the exit has good food, beer wine. The other has some extremely good burgers (known for them) and Prime Rib specials to die for. Looks like a local bar but has a sit down restaurant in the back. Really good burgers... On the Al Hambra side of the road is a turn off by a nursing home (old ruins right there also) and it heads off up into the Elkhorn Mountains. There is some "real" 4WD roads in there (Tizer Lake) if you are adventurous and have the right equipment. Supposedly no grizzlies or wolves there... I beg to differ from personal experience and friends pictures... some good hiking into the Elhorns (trout creek) along this road. It is a big circle maybe 10 miles of dirt road that goes back to Montana City and the frontage road. There is an old Fire tower on that road called Strawberry Mountain and it is worth driving up to in the summer. You can rent the cabin, has a new bathroom (no plumbing). all this is within a half hour forty five minutes from the campground. Great fun, recommend a Subaru at least, but you can go to all these places with a 2WD sedan...except Tizer. You will need the full 4WD set up to get there. The same road that goes to Park Lake I mentioned also is a "short cut" to Helena if you take a right instead of a left (from Clancy) the Park Lake turn off. If you were here visiting for a few days all those places are worth visiting if you like the back roads. Or you can go a bit from there into Helena that has a Costco Target... From there you can go to Canyon Creek Reservoir and definitely go to York Montana. The little bar there is also known for their burgers and beyond is the Vigilante Nat Park Campground and right there at the campground entrance is a handicap capable trail (first mile) that is really neat. As far as civilized amenities, not a lot in Helena, but how many other Capital Cities have a mountain as their city park... It is a hidden gem imho but being found as property values have almost doubled in 10 years. You can go a bit further south and at Boulder 16 miles on I15, you can get to an old ghost town mining center called Elkhorn. It is a half day few hour trip and some short hikes. So, if you are visiting Helena, and like the kinds of things I'm mentioning you can fill a few days doing these things. And there are spectacular views everywhere... I'm never bored just driving around finding new things. So, just a bit of local insight. I could go on and on and on.

Hey, BTW sometimes straight out the front video while driving along leaves out alot of scenery. I like how you had great sideviews while going across the " Bridge of the Gods ". Wondered why you didn't do that regularly. Beautiful nature scenes trumps pavement
