Hey Clancy! I started renting my own house at 22 and one thing that saved me with moving into such a big space after being in dorms and small living for so long was THRIFTING! You would be suprised at the amazing decor and small trinkets you'll find for so much cheaper! People also donate a lot of brand new things!!! Just a suggestion for helping to save money! Especially bc your style might change over time so not spending so much money on filler stuff up front might save you a lot in the long run! Congrats on the house!

I have a CasaLuna comforter and really like it. It’s good to start collecting backup bedding for wash days so you can rotate and don’t have to wait until the laundry is done to remake the bed. There’s nothing worse than forgetting your bedding is still in the dryer when you’re ready for bed.

We just got the Casa Luna sheets as well because bed bath and beyond stopped carrying our favorites and they're fantastic! We got cream colored ones and a muddy dog footprint washed out easily!

I second this. I bought king sheets on sale for about 6 months before I upgraded to a king bed. I'm glad I did because one of my cats loves the jersey knit sheets to sharpen his claws, No more of those, currently rotating through 4 Target Threshold sets. 400 thread count and they have a silky feel on the skin. Now I want to downgrade to a queen size, though! Clancy, the house is starting to take shape. I'll be honest, the first home is the easiest. It's good that you went big, so you won't be moving in a couple of years. We inherited our house when my in laws died, our garage is filled with stuff from our old house (we lost 800 sf) and stuff from my in laws that my husband wasn't ready to part with at that time. DON'T do that Clancy - keep your garage space sacrosanct! I'm dreading the next move when I look in my garage!

For anyone who’s moved into a new house that’s bigger than the previous home, this video made a lot of sense!!!! The house is looking great. Love seeing your enthusiasm. It’s a very exciting time and all the new “first” in the new home is super exciting!! I think y’all will be very happy you did this before the wedding. I’m excited to see Zac’s office come together. That’s a long time coming for him. Just to have his own work space. Hi The house is beautiful. I would suggest you buy a mattress cover to protect your new mattress. You can pull it off from time to time and toss it in the wash. They are a lifesaver especially since you just purchased a new mattress. Also great if you spill coffee or tea or something. Get a waterproof cover. 👍. Have fun setting up your new house. Congrats🎉

They make them not plastic so it’s comfortable, but is washable and keeps stains off the mattress:) I just purchased the same washer and dryer! Love it! So efficient with laundry detergent- I feel like I actually use the # of loads in each bottle and energy efficient. So happy for you guys!

How exciting!! My husband and I moved in to a house 2x the size of our previous house. Nearly 9 months after, it’s still not where I’d like it, it’s a process for sure! But once you get the basics you’ll feel less of the pressure, I remember the no table/chairs/etc period, that def makes things more chaotic!! 😂

Love these vlogs. Binge watch every sunday 😍 Me and my boyfriend always go to bed together no matter what and have done it since we got together 3.5 years ago. If I have to get up earlier he lays next to me and reads on his kindle. It helps so much with fallinh sleep and it also makes him go to bed earlier and get more sleep. He dreaded going to bed when he was single, he just pushed it and ended up staying up most og the nights. I love laying in his arms until I fall asleep, it’s so comforting. Now he is out traveling for a week and it’s so hard to go to sleep alone. So yes, I can really relate! And so can my bf. If I’m coming home late one evening he just can’t go to sleep before I get home, he tries but can’t.

My house looked so messy after we moved in, it was such a long journey, it is still not done after 1 year but it's kind of nice to enjoy the slow ride. Then when we buy a certain missing piece it is such a joy. We had boxes everywhere for the longest and my legs were killing me from going up an down after the move (we moved by ourselves) so lots of heavy lifting :D

I would definitely get a mattress protector for your spray tans! If it’s white, you can just bleach any stains when you wash it and then get a new one whenever you want! I will never not use one again.
