@@KumoriBlackPhoenix I'd rather have 3 treasure than 3 random free cards to cast off the top. Most the time they are bad or lands which you don't get. As shown here, a single ravagan resolving its trigger 3 times clearly had a demonstrably larger impact on the game then Etali, damage not accounted for. It's insane that a 1 drop can possibly contest in value with a 6 drop, but imo, at least in this game, it clearly did just that. idk about everyone else but I come from a meta with not that many big creature decks. So my average etali pulls would look like this game.

You haven't seen the early Game Knights, I see! On one of the very first (Best 4 Colour Commander 2016) he won by drawing 60 cards with a single spell and tapping Kydele (tap for one mana for each card you've drawn this turn) for 60 - and his next spell would have drawn him 120 cards! And lost him the game, but still!

@@Indignation92 7/7 Zombie can attack. He plays a Wall, sacks the Wall for a 6/6 Zombie that can't attack. He them makes the Artifact copy the 7/7 Zombie and the Doppelganger transforms into the 6/6. The artifact and Doppelganger can attack, he swims the Mirror and the 7/7 zombie against Amy and the 6/6 Doppelganger against Kenji.

This felt like a classic reason Josh wins games when it could have been stopped. 2 threats at the table, 3rd person steps to stop it and expends a lot of resources, Josh cleans up. Ced held on for one more turn and let aura shards tear Josh’s board apart before stepping in

Agreed. Amy vs Kenji is the perfect example of king making, two players ripping into one another while the other two build up. With that said, Ced should have continued to let Amy and Kenji kill one another knowing that a single flyer would have been enough to finish off whoever remained and should have started taking down Josh’s life total sooner.

Amy, I still watch that episode of EDHijinks when you first played your deck. Funny enough, on the episode of "Dies to Re-Boo-val," when CGB played Minsc and Boo, he got out Ragavan, and dealt damage with the monkey one time. Thing is, because Olivia didn't know how Ragavan works, she thought she had to tutor an artifact to give to CGB, rather than flipping the top card. That game was also the one where Rachel Weeks became known as "Rachel of the Flappy Bacon." Just saying, your boy Ragavan does a lot of work in Commander, and for some reason, when he does, hilarity often ensues. A question, though: Are you still running Break Through The Line in your deck, or even Whispersilk Cloak, in order to get the monkey hit in every turn?

i've been going over the interaction a few times now and i'm still scratching my head here. When he sacs his arcbound slith doesn't the ozolith force the 8 +1/+1 counters onto it? i don't understand where the other +1/+1 counters are coming from.

​@@exer45 the way the cards are worded makes it seem that way, but it is actually just that number of +1/+1 get put on the ozolith rather than the actual counters themselves being moved. Same with modular. It is unfortunately one of the cases where reading the cards doesn't fully explain the cards

42:25 dont the counter double already when you place them on the ozolith- hat the same thing yesterday with doublingseason and the ozolith and we checked the gatherer ruling. edit: so he would have decked himself i think

Branching Evolution only applies if you would put +1/+1 counters on a creature, and the Ozolith is not a creature. Doubling Season would work, since it doesn't care what kind of permanent it is.

17:53 Even better play here is you could target the Wooded Foothills with the Gruul Turf ETB trigger, then sac it to fetch in response and avoid having to bounce any land at all. But if Amy didn't have any other lands in hand, then it wouldn't have mattered. Kenji's massive Hoof crack back at Amy was extremely satisfying because I absolutely despise that monkey and the entire premise of her deck. 😂

That doesn't work. The Turf's trigger doesn't target anything (you can tell because it does not use the word 'target' and is not an aura spell on the stack). You choose the land to return when the trigger resolves, and you can't do anything in between the land being chosen and the land being returned to the hand.
