@CarsWithKeav I have a very similar setup with my North Star pressure washer, Item# 1571103 with total stop. It's rated at 3000psi and 2.5 gpm but that may be slightly overstated. My test gauge does read low compared to other people I've seen on KZbin that have tested some other pressure washers I have had in the past, Kranzle 1122 tst, Active 2.0 and AR630tss. I did a quick test on my KZbin channel on my North Star unit and I was impressed. I was also going back and forth between the 5.5 and 6.0 tips like you were with this pressure washer you tested in this video. I do love this North Star unit plus it can be bought locally at Northern Tool right now for only $1,349 vs $1,599 regular price. It is a 230v pressure washer but that wasn't a deal breaker for me because I had easy access to my breaker panel to add the 230v outlet. You should test this North Star unit next plus it's on sale now cheaper than I've ever seen it. I love watching your channel and keep up the awesome content!

@@CarsWithKeav You're welcome and yes it does. The auto start/stop feature is a must for me. I was also able to mount a Blueshield auto retracting hose real to the frame of the North Star unit as well. I got a ridiculous deal online for a Blueshield kevlar 35' hose reel and hose, shipping and all it was less than $150 brand new. It's a pretty cool setup and I am going to do an update video on it soon.

Absolutely it is the most cost effective you can get for the performance. The reason is because of that patented 5 piston pump. Nobody else can get that water flow on their pumps in that price range.

@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 4 күн бұрын
Hot water cleans better. Just got to make sure everything you have hooked up can handle hot water. Hit water though is really anything more than 140 degrees which most hit water heaters don’t do. Most are set at 130 degrees or less. In the pressure washer world 140 degrees or less is not considered hot in most cases.

For some reason just about every pressure washer does in the garage even though they are on separate breakers. It does suck serious amps and the outlet is 20AMP, but there is a 30amp breaker for it. Main problem is my meter doesn’t show initial amps only after a few seconds so I don’t see the initial draw. I need to find something that shows the initial draw.

I'm happy to see your opinion on this one. The casters on mine are even worse, and only two of them lock in place. Did you modify the garden hose inlet? Mine has a metal fitting that's slightly leaky, not the blue plastic one. The TSS system failed on my unit after only 6 washes ,AR was easy to deal with over the phone and sent replacement parts. Looking forward to your build and seeing how you fine-tune this machine. Will this be your daily driver for a while? Thanks again for the great content

AR seems to be great when you call them, but they are out of touch not selling this pump separate as an option. The casters just came in another branded box like they came from Amazon. I’ve heard others are gray as well. It might end up on the shelf if it will fit and not be too heavy.

Which one is quieter? This or Kranzle 1322TS? I watched both vids but the tests were slightly different. RCA3-PRO had the sprayer in a bucket next to the machine but the Kranzle was with the sprayer not in a bucket. I like to wash at night so noise is the biggest factor for me.
@CarsWithKeav

It’s a pretty quiet machine. Kranzle might be slightly quieter, but either way the sound of the water and impact to the panels is louder than either of them by several DB. Two different types of machines as well the RCA3 is almost 30%+ percent more powerful and way heavier. RCA3 is much more industrial in nature.

Hi Keav! I have a general question for you: When I take the "wand" off my Westinghouse electric pressure washer and put the MJJC 3.0 in place of it to run it, it seems to run okay but in the middle of foaming the pressure washer will die down/struggle and I have to completely stop/shut it off and wait. What could be causing this? Does not happen if I just run the wand as usual, even for 30 mins straight. Love your vids, thanks!
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 2 ай бұрын
Possibly the orifice nozzle in the foam cannon is too much for the machine or something lodged in the orifice opening causing the machine to overheat. That is all I can think of as an issue. Except maybe the filter is clogged up and not along flow through causing stress on the machine.

Even at that price, it does look like a heavy duty pressure washer which will provide years of use probably. The motor looks twice the size of the Kranzle 1122TS motor unit. WOW. That thing looks like a commercial heavy duty machine that could probably be used in a wash bay somewhere. I could see value to this unit for a professional detailer, although I totally agree with you that AR should just offer the pressure washer as a stand alone unit so an enthusiast detailer or pro-detailer could construct their own build out using the base pressure washer unit without their sub standard accessories. That would allow you to use the AR pressure washer with, for example, a full stainless steel MTM gun, lance, foam cannon of your own choosing, etc. It would give you a lot more options, but it's not worth it if you have to purchase that entire set up you have, just to then deconstruct it and build it out the way you want. Still, that unit looks incredible for home use. It would be like going to one of the coin operated car washes right at your house. I would certainly be proud to have a pressure washer that nice in my garage!
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 2 ай бұрын
It is very close to the performance of the coin operated self car washes they usually run across the bay at 1200 PSI at 3.0 GPM. Sometimes its less depending on how many cars are there and the bay you are in the ones further away tend to get less performance. I think they will end up selling it separate spring of next year. Just a hunch I have based on communications I have seen with them and several commenters here.
@joevanseeters2873
@joevanseeters2873 2 ай бұрын
@@CarsWithKeav I really like the look of that unit, meaning that it looks like one of the most heavy duty built pressure washers motors I have ever seen. It's a shame AR won't sell just the motor because I would probably get one and build out my own wash bay set up similar to how you were discussing in the video. AR might rethink their decision if enough enthusiasts and pro detailers show an interest. Why wouldn't they want to make more money? I mean, i understand they want to sell the whole set up, but just selling the pressure washer unit by itself would probably garner them a LOT of sales. I would definitely put together my own wash bay using that pressure washer along with an in-line water softener (I was thinking of doing an entire house water softener anyway as my water is super hard here in Colorado), and MTM stainless wand, shorty gun, and an upgraded hose reel that extended from the ceiling like a coin operated wash bay has and can circle 360 degrees around the vehicle being washed. Yeah, that could really make a nice system. Matt Moreman over at Obsessed Garage should take a look at that pressure washer unit and see if he could convince AR to sell him the pressure washer units by themselves as a distributor. He could then build out an entire package with everything top of the line like MTM, etc. and sell the entire package, but Obsessed Garage style, with all the upgraded very best hoses, best reel, best wands, short guns, in-line water spotless unit, etc. The same thing he does with the Kranzle, Comet, and the smaller retail AR unit full packages on his web site that include everything you need for an install. This unit could be the top of the line system! Thank again for all your hard work Mr. Keav. I really enjoy your channel buddy.😁

@@joevanseeters2873 I think they will end up selling it separate, but probably not tell sometime next year. Not sure Matt will want to sell it as it kind of will eat sales of his 1322 and 630. He might if he gets to be the exclusive distributer for it as that is kind of his new goal with most products like he did with the 1322 and Bilt Hamber products. Who knows though maybe Matt is working behind the scenes on his own pressure washer don’t see why he wouldn’t try that out. He is building his own DI setup already.

No this pressure washer is not good, if ur into AR id take the AR630 ts. without going into details AR basically adjust the tip size to reach "Maybe" 3gpm i doubt though with 2hp which leads me to my second opinion the amp is high because motor is over clocked or something and with that much pressure u would want a time delay and slow on on the machine so it won't kill ur machine and ur circuit breaker.
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 2 ай бұрын
Let’s just say we agree to disagree, but I respect your opinion and you make valid points on the amps for the stock nozzles. 915 PSI with 2.73 GPM and 18 amps to me is great. The stock nozzle and foam cannon orifice they provide are just not the right ones. It should be a 1.75 size orifice for the foam cannon I think and a 6.0 nozzle. My house also isn’t the best when it comes to voltage as most of the time I’m around 116v to 117v when I have friends with 120v to 122v and they get 50psi and sometimes even 100psi more than me depending on the machine. Which also with my lower voltage it would make the motor increase amps. Which I think is good for numbers as it lets you see them in not the best scenario.
@1kontrabida
@1kontrabida 2 ай бұрын
@@CarsWithKeav the amps says it all because with less than 1k pressure u should be at 15amp below because the motor bigger ie less taxing /power to make powrr so the amp should also go down. I’m Kranzle fan boy because I’ve tried most of these and Kranzle just edges everyone and thinks about the end user and power consumption. But I like AR specially 630 the only thing that I didn’t like is their piston design and Cat pumps I have and hope to finish building it , if I don’t watch ur channel that makes me spend more lol.😂

@@1kontrabida 630 is such a great machine especially for the price. I hope to build mine to use less amps and might even go to 240v just to get the absolute best performance with low amps. No Kranzle on a 110v in the U.S. can touch this machine. They can barely deliver 2 GPM. This is the most powerful you can buy on the American market for our 110v power grid. You can add a 240v to your garage to get more power, but most don’t have that or it’s difficult to install based on the garages location.

I have not used these, but I know some who have and these are their residential line which is totally different than the commercials one I reviewed. The performance will be very much on par with the higher pro models of Sun Joe, Ryobi or Greenworks. In that price range I myself would go with an Active 2.0 if just for car washing. If using for things around the house these would work pretty well.

@TouchstoneMPWD 9 күн бұрын
@@CarsWithKeav thanks, yes I'll be using it for car detailing. I was under the impression that the 2 AR models were gonna be higher quality since they're Brushless and have Induction Motors. I've had 3 $99 Ryobi, 2 Green Works Pro, 1 $99 Craftsman. I'm currently on my 4th $99 Ryobi. I really liked the Green Works Pro, just didn't like the "Soft Start" ( what I call it ). I'm just tired of them breaking on me. Want to get a good quality, that will last. I'm in South Georgia so I get a lot of vehicles that have dirt and mud on them. So using my pressure washer for long periods of time puts wear and tear on them faster. Also, my hose is the Giraffe Tools 65 ft retractable hose. Will that have anything to do with my pressure washers going out? 🤔.
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav 9 күн бұрын
@ I wouldn’t think that hose would be the issue as it should be able to supply enough water to run those machines. The main problem is residential units are built to to last so long around 100 hours which for homeowner is a very long time. A business would do that pretty quick. Those AR models are residential, but being induction should last longer. The Active 2.0 is rated for 200 hours. Sounds to me like you do a lot of pressure washing maybe a serviceable unit would be more cost effective over time like an AR630. Problem is if it’s down you can’t get parts quick there aren’t detail stores on every corner like in California. Even in Atlanta where I am there are no detail shops around that have parts or units for sale. So having something like a Ryobi is easy to change out at Home Depot. I know a lot of guys who just bring the Ryobi under warranty and get another one just don’t mention you use it for detailing.
