A single 50 would be more than capable of hauling them but they are not the most reliable of locomotives so two are often used just in case of failures.

Excellent capture of the class at work in modern times . Did you know that you made a small typo error with the info with Thunderer hauling that 1 only MK3 .. It’s Bristol Barton Hill not Bristol Bardon Hill what you put . Thinking back to the Dub & Grub Railtour on 5/8/18 brings back memories as I got to see the girls come through Cam & Dursley on the way back to Birmingham then with the extension I saw them again at Oxford 👍🏻

Sadly 50049 is no longer in BR Large Logo livery, it was repainted into GBRf livery along with 50007 some time ago.
