Im so glad LNER have still kept some 225 sets running on the Leeds to Kings Cross service. I regularly travel between Leeds and Peterborough for work and the Azuma sets are nothing compared to the 225s

Love these trains, so underrated. A good replacement for them would be tri-mode Siemens Taurus locos and Siemens Viaggio coaches.

I thought that the GNER blue/red was the best livery. I used GNER service s on a regular basis from Newcastle to London and my experience of their franchised provision was very high, compaired to the other and subsequent providers. The 225s in my opinion are light years ahead of what has replaced them, in terms of comfort and ride. Likewise the 125s.
