I was so happy to see Price win this. Welsh fans have to watch crowds treat him like a piece of trash week after week. And for once, he got to be on the other end. As a huge MVG fan, I wanted him to win. But, really... Price deserved a bit of love from the crowd and it was nice seeing him win it tonight.

Im so so happy for Gezzy. The silly crowds always boo him and restrict him from what he does best which is being entertaining and throwing amazin darts. Seriously show this man love and hell return the favour by playing superb darts. Im so glad he won today in Cardiff in front of his home fans, who gave him an extra boost. I was hoping one of the Welsh lads win today and after Clayton got beaten first match with Smith, i was rooting for Gezzy. He doesn't have a management so there's nobody to help him with the issues he faces. He clearly can't really deal with it well on his own and the crowd is sadly never going to stop with their behavior, so the way I see it he needs to do something else. Get people to help you with the bad crowd issues or try to do things to make yourself a more likeable character of something.

Being Welsh, there's 100% of me that wants my countrymen (and women) to do well, and oddly enough there's a pretty solid part of me that dislikes the english ... but when players like Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, Chris Dobey and Luke Humphries (he should be part of this) are on the oche I am okay with it because they win with humility, appreciate it when skill is shown and they lose with grace ... so those 'dart fans', wherever they're from, who just turn up to throw vitriol and abuse should take a moment to watch, listen and learn ... it's not hard

The fact the Price made a HUGE deal out of it last month when they were against him and is now totally silent and pumping up the crowd shows his lack of character. So many players have mentioned that a hostile crowd can be a distraction, you have to block it out, play your game, and enjoy home crowds when the time comes. This ain't snooker.
