Hi Friends! Since Autumn is my FAVORITE time of year for baking, I'll be uploading a third video every week on Saturday mornings at 9AM Eastern Standard Time. The first one is going up tomorrow! I hope you enjoy! ♥John

Could you do a pistachio macaron or just other flavored macaron? I watched your vanilla macaron video but I wouldn’t know where to add in other ingredients if I used that video as a starting point. ( I could look it up elsewhere but I follow your videos religiously for anything baked goods xx)

honestly I LOVE that you left in all the apple core shenanigans!! Not only was it amusing, but it's always nice to have a reminder that even the 'legit' people have to improvise sometimes. It might not be 'right' but it works, so we're all good!

I love how you aren't perfect! You include your mistakes rather than editing them out😘. This educates many people that no one is perfect including bakers!😉And these apple dumplings are amazing! I have big buckets of Apple in my pantry which is ready to use for dumplings!😍😍😍😍😍😍😗😗

Hello John! I love your channel and website. Oh my god!! I absolutely LOVE apple dumplings! My grandmother would make these for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thank you so much for making this recipe. My grandmother used cinnamon and sugar too, but she also added cloves and nutmeg to the apple core. Your sauce is perfect. Don't forget the vanilla ice cream!

Almost first! I made the tarte tatin yesterday. The person I was making it for doesn't like big pieces of apple so I cut the quarters in half. I think next time I might try to do it correctly because it was delicious. I think primarily he doesn't like eating big pieces of apple that aren't cooked through but that would not have been an issue. I didn't have puff pastry, it was five in the evening and I didn't have time to make it, so I made normal pastry. It wasn't as pretty but it was delicious. This was my first time making real caramel, cooking the sugar down until it was golden brown. It's a very satisfying thing to make. I even had a small piece of it and I try to avoid eating sugar and white flour. (Why do I watch these videos then?!) Because John is a great teacher and the recipes are all terrific.

I use half white sugar and light brown sugar and apple pie spice also I take about a cup of quick cooking oats and put it in a food processor and whizz it just to break it down a bit, then add about a 1/4 of the oats with the sugar mixture then cut in the butter, then I stuff the mixture into the apple and finish as you did...!

I LOL as you were struggling to core those apples because I just went through that with pears the other day. I finally gave up and sliced the pears so I could core them without adding any of my blood to them, lol. Though my pear slices didn't look how they should have it worked out fine. My upside down Pear and gingerbread cake came out beautifully. Taste just as good as it looked too... 😋
