You are right. As a child I have travelled in double decker busses. Very comfortable. It's like going in a Benz car. Now we have to go in Ashok Leyland. Most uncomfortable bus. Seats are narrow. Two people cannot sit. It's on a lorry chassis. Sri Lanka public transport has gone backwards. In the 1980s we had TATA, ISUSU buses. The body was built in Sri Lanka. Those had lot of room inside. Seats were wide. Government removed those and introduced Ashok Leyland. That's the most uncomfortable bus. May be somebody is getting commission from Leyland India. We Sri Lankans have to suffer. This is politics.

Yes. You are right. Quality of public transport has gone down. In 1980s there were TATA and ISUSU busses, bodies were built in Sri Lanka. Those were good. Seats were broad. Lot of room and leg space. All these busses were removed from roads and introduced ASHOK LEYLAND. This is the most uncomfortable bus ever in Sri Lankan roads. As a child I have traveled in double decker busses. It's so comfortable like a Benz car. This ASHOK Leyland bus ( lorry chasis) is the most uncomfortable bus I have travelled. Seats are so small two people cannot sit.(Indian standards ). One side has 3 seats. Once you get in difficult to move. People are suffering in these ASHOK busses. But the government continues to import. They don't care about the comfort of Sri Lankan people travelling in buses. I have written to Ministry of transport to widen the seats because its very small. I suggested ladies only busses. Nothing is done. Politicians don't travel in busses.! So they don't care. I think somebody is getting commission from ASHOK India.

@@kamal6737 you are right . More than 50% of voters are foolish. They vote for color, Green , blue.... They don't care who the person is. That's why corrupt people are selected to rule.

These double decker buses were brought at different times. Most were brought at once in the 50s
