I've run this trail twice but has been several years ago. The approach to the river crossing is steep and rocky plus some good sized boulders challenging.

Just curious, what do you guys rate IronClads? I have a competitors app and they don’t have a rating for it. Just wondering if you do? I’m trying to get an idea what that’s rated because I just did it in my UTV and wanted to know how it compares to other trails in Moab for example before I travel to Utah

I noticed that the rates at T.O. are very subjective and more towards full size offroad vehicles. It's hard to determine a correct trail rate, unless TO team improves the rating allowing users to choose their rig and driving skill level. Also, there are many of variables to consider, like a tiny UTV or SxS vs sport UTV SSxS with long suspension travel and very high ground clearance.

@@coolmountainlife TOR rates everything based on full-sized vehicles. All-access members see an advanced rating section mentioned concerns, vehicles recommendations, and a summary of the difficulty. You aren't wrong that ratings are subjective, but there is no possible way to create a rating system that is specific to individual vehicles.

Thanks for watching. Let us know if you'd like any more specs. Both are Rubicons so both have F/R lockers and electronic sway bar disconnect. 19 JLU Rubicon, 3.6 gas, 2.5" Clayton lift, 35" tires. 21 JLU Rubicon, 3.0 diesel, 3" AEV lift, 35" tires.

@@Trailsoffroad I have a stock 21 rubicon unlimited. I guess I’d need skid plates to do this trail. Not ready to spend the money on a lift and tires yet.

You'd be fine in a stock Rubicon if you don't mind a few dings on the undercarriage. We have seen a lot of stock rigs much less capable than a Rubicon complete this trail.

Can trailers park at Camp Dick?

Only if you were to reserve a campsite. There is also a trailhead parking lot, but its really only best suited for cars (about 20 spots).

Campsites are your best bet to park your trailer. Be prepared to not find any unoccupied spots though if you go on a weekend.
