Today we're going back to a good old family favorite, the classic Cream cheese Pound cake. A true southern staple for any family reunion, picnics or Sunday dessert. The mark of a true southern baker is how well she can make 3 classic things…1 Scratch made biscuits…2 good fried chicken and 3 a delicious pound cake! I grew eating generous slices of pound cakes served with fresh peaches or ice cream! This recipe is beginner friendly and fairly straightforward requiring simple ingredients, I’ll take you through each step to ensure your recipe is a success and in no time your friends and family will be requesting You to bring a cake to your next family event! For the recipe you will need:
420g or 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp Fine salt
1/2 tsp Baking soda
500g or 2 1/2 Cups granulated sugar
50g or 1/4 cup Light brown sugar
284g or 2 1/2 sticks of softened room temperature Unsalted butter
113g or 4 ounces softened cream cheese
113g or 4 ounces room temperature Heavy cream
350g or 7 large eggs
2 tsp Vanilla extract, or extract of your choice
