Sooo glad to see I'm not the only baker who just flat-out ignores the "do not eat raw batter" message! I was always given the bowl & beaters as a kid so, of course, when I bake & there's small ones about, they already know Auntie's gonna share the tools 😋 (and when there's no little ones around, then it's still up to yours truly to enjoy all that goodness!) Been doing it 40+ years & I'm still kicking (and baking)! LOL 😆🤣😂

So happy you are sharing your Grandmother’s recipe! The hours you spent in the kitchen with her is reflected in this cake. From a Southern girl who grew up with both grandmothers not liking to cook, I’m humbled to try a recipe from a beloved grandmother. Thank you.

Greetings Hun, just need to say that this is the best pound cake recipe I have ever come across. Respect to Gm, I am a senior 74 blessed years so trust me I know a good recipe when I come across one. My family absolutely loves this cake, I make it on a regular basis like every other week. On son requests one for his buddies at work and believe me they do be waiting. I love to add pecans. I know you can play around with this recipe but I find it's amazing just as it is. Thank you sugar!! Oh and my grands love the bowl and spoon lol May you and family be blessed.

Truth be told, this was the fourth pound cake recipe that I have tried. For whatever reason the others 3 recipes just did not work for me. But when I tell you this cake came out perfect. Y'all just don't know. I was texting everybody. Taking pictures of my cake. Like so proud. Thank you so much!

Lol, and people keep commenting that every recipe is the same. Apparently not! 💕

Most definitely not. I cook for a living. And I got all of that for my grandma as well. But baking, is a whole different world. She baked from time to time but my grandfather had diabetes so she didn't make that often. And she was trying not to kill him. But you keep posting, and I'll keep trying.😊

Danielle. Thank you soooo much for the pound cake recipe. I am gluten free and I made your grandmother’s recipe. It worked out wonderfully with brown rice, potato starch and arrowroot flour. It was nice and moist and that generally doesn’t happen when u convert a recipe to gluten free. The cake was G 🎈R🎈E🎈A🎈T. THANK YOU🎈🎈

I tried this recipe which has now become my new favorite 😊. I used buttermilk instead of evaporated or regular milk. I also cut back on the salt to 1/2 teaspoon vs a full tsp. Otherwise I absolutely looove the brown soft crumbly crust after it's baked. Thank you for sharing your family tradition with ours. God Bless you all and ❤❤
