That's some level of dedication to make games for the Dreamcast 15 years later, there was a game on the Dreamcast not too long ago I think last year or 2013, it was a side scrolling action game. Forgot the name, but it's so cool to have games for the Dreamcast after all this time.

Amazing how Dreamcasts can work for years but the disc drive on a new PS4 can clunk out in less than 3 months... even with minimal use.

+OtterloopB A lot of Dreamcast do develop GD-ROM issues over the years where you have to adjust the laser, which I've had to do a few times with mine, so they are not bullet proof, but yeah they do seem to last longer than some of the newer consoles.

What? I had PS4 since launch and disc drive still fine. Also the disc tech is way different than before. Dreamcast used old normal CD's which was also read and writer very slowly the Dreamcast disc drive et's say about 2x...now with bigger games it needs data to be accessed much faster and bigger. PS4 not only uses Blu-ray but the disc drives reads and writes the discs about 64x faster.

Adam Phillip They however can read games burned, or pressed to CD's since a GD-ROM is more or less a special CD where the data track pits are smaller allowing for the 1GB per disc. so yeah that should be mentioned as well.

+scalpey Very awesome. It gives me a reason to keep my Dreamcast hooked up, next to my japanese Sega Saturn and PC-Engine (both of which I WISH would get some new arcade-style 2D love). I don't want to see Mark go, I have been a fan of his for over a decade and his videos and reviewing style has enriched my life in many ways. That is why it hurts to hear he won't be as much of a presence on YT as he used to. If only Mark listened to his real fans and gave us a few fully nude (or at least topless) reviews, he could've surpassed Pukediepie's numbers. He doesn't have to go fully nude-just take off his shirt, have Derek oil up his well-toned chest, digging his boyish fingers into the striations of Mark's chiseled chest. Have lights pointing to Mark, making the oil glisten in the camera as Mark reviews his favorite retro titles, or reads lines of erotic poetry or passages from Fifty Shades of Grey. I guarantee at least 1.2 mil views per vid.

hey Mark, you ought to check out GALAK-Z for the PS4 and PC (Steam) before you guys eventually have to stop doing the whole CGR thing by the end of the year. i've only just heard about all of this so i don't quite fully understand all the details at the moment but it's sad to see this happen. i'm glad i was able to mention Drunken Robot Pornography to you some time ago and you eventually did a review on it and it made it to 1 of the top 10 games for CGR Game of the Year 2013. good luck to you, Derek, Stella AKA Viral Dog, and the rest of the CGR crew at Pittsburgh. Just got the limited printed play Asia exclusive of the standard version of ghost blade HD for ps4. I am so phyked. Even a lil bit better of a port compared to the dreamcast. The Wii U version I like too

+James Fish The Dreamcast is based on Windows CE which is a stripped down version of Windows 98, and as the other commenter said that makes porting, and making new games for the system more easy. the hardest part is getting the GD-ROM's pressed, so most used burned, or pressed CD-ROM disc which tend to make the laser work a slight bit harder, which some claim can wear out your system faster. I know when I found my Dreamcast last year at a GoodWIll I had to open mine, and adjust the laser to get it to read any disc proper, and I also replaced the backup battery while i was at it.
