So I bought my son an N64 for Christmas, along with 6 games. It was the only Nintendo console he never had growing up, but he used to play it at my sister's when we would visit her at the time. The local game store didn't have any games that I knew he would like (save for DK Country and Resident Evil 2), but being a HUGE fan of Robotron, I found two that I knew I would play: Williams Arcade Greatest Hts and Robotron 64. I had never heard of R64, but it said "Robotron," and that's all I needed to know. Lol I watched this and your other R64 video later that night as I was tubing around for videos on the games I bought him. GREAT REVIEW! I couldn't wait to clean up and test everything after seeing it. Holy CRAP I love this game! I like to tell people Killer Bees! is reason enough to own an Odyssey 2, and you are 100% correct to say R64 is reason enough to own the Nintendo 64. In fact, I plan on getting myself an N64 soon just so I can play it whenever I want.

This videogame is amazing, i bought it a month ago and i'm.still playing it, the music is cool and the controls are nice, it gets harder and challenging!... I can't describe it with my words, go freaking play it!

The soundtrack for this game is what got me into electronic music. It was so hype!
@dolgy37628 жыл бұрын
+Popcornio hah, I couldn't tell you how many games from the late 90's that had techno, or drum and bass music.

If you plug in two N64 controllers you can use the analog stick on P1 to move and the analog stick from P2 to shoot. Definitely a better way to play

You must play this game at high volume or with powerful headphones. Everytime I play I always end up sweaty and drained because of the music and focus that goes into it

If it's one thing the N64 had a shortcoming with, it was texture mapping and it seems they understood this since the only real texture is on the ground. The GPU only allowed a fixed image size for textures, forcing developers to usually stretch the image over polygons, making them look distorted and blurry. The flat Gouraud shading works to this game's advantage making the visuals look cleaner and more polished compared to other games of the time. Thumbs up big time for this revamp of a classic

This game is EPIC. When I was young I never realised how trippy and flashy the graphics were. I'm not suggesting it, but imagine how wacked out this would look if you were stoned lol. Actually looking back, about 90% of N64 games were epic. It was back when people actually had imaginations and didn't try to create games based on life. Oh well, nice review guys :)

Hey, don't get me wrong! I understood your point, but what I was actually saying is that the original Robotron game didn't have an ending, which means you would never reach to the end when playing it ( you would keep playing untill you eventually die), regardless of what the storyline in the Blaster game would say...

god this game is the best!!! This game is the sole reason why I didn't pass I.T. in year 12. I spent the entire year playing this every lesson on an N64 emulator (with the volume up ofc)....... it was soo worth it. Funnily enough fast forward 4 years to today and I'm going to University this year, and beleive it or not I'm doing an I.T. degree...... and thanks to Robotron I know nothing about I.T....and to make things worse I just got back into the game..

This game really is a blast to play, unfortunately the music is horrible. I'm very glad I watched the CGR review of Robotron 64, because I purchased this game about a month ago. I really haven't played it all that much, but it is definitely a great game, even if it does get low scores on Review sites. What other reviews should you really take seriously, besides Classic Game Room's?
