Thanks for the update video, always good to see what you have been up to with the Clubman. That headliner looks really smart, like the choice of fabric.

Your other half has the patience of a saint and has done a fantastic job on the headliner, perforated was the way to go. IMO the engine has to be black. That car is a credit to both of you, on a budget and looking that smart.

Thanks Graeme she has smashed the headliner it looks ace for sure. Yes I am on the side of leaning for that colour so it looks original and period correct I guess.

Thanks buddy glad you like it. Hmm Now I have never see that done. Ideas ideas
@billywhizz984 жыл бұрын
I haven’t see on in that colour myself to be honest it’s an unusual colour for an engine that’s why I suggested it combined with a touch of black for the details but it’s your car your choice

Headlining looking good mate. Did you fold the headlining around the window edges or cut it off there?
@SimpsonsClassics4 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy yes it was folded round the window edges and clipped up. Then trimmed back. So happy with it.

Headliner looking great, does it just get glued around the edges or does the rubber seals hold it?
@SimpsonsClassics4 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy it gets glued round the edges then the headliner hides edge 👍

Hi Marc, Love the new headliner. I have an engine question for you. When my pistons 1 and 4 are up, the flywheel TDC marks are nowhere in sight, but when pistons 2 and 3 are up the marks are visible. This means my timing is out 180 degrees I guess. What can I do to resolve this problem. I think it's impossible to put the flywheel in wrong and I'm pretty sure the timing gears are in the correct position. I'm at a loss to know what to do next. Wondering if you had any advice? Cheers, Midge
@becko19694 жыл бұрын
Midge Lambert take your distributor back out , rotate the engine until number 1 cylinder is at the top and the timing marks line up , then put the dizzy in with the rotor arm pointing to number 1 on the dizzy cap .. if I remember correctly that should give you a basic starting point
@midgelambert38804 жыл бұрын
@@becko1969 Thanks very much Chris I'll try that and let you know how I make out by way of Marc's site.
@midgelambert38804 жыл бұрын
Just thinking.... moving the distributor out and rotating the engine until #1 cylinder is at the top will not change the fact that when #1 piston is up and I look through the little port hole to see the timing marks there is nothing there. If I continue rotating the engine until #2 and # 3 are up the timing marks appear. ?
