In this video, I review my package from Kentucky Mustang. I show what I ordered, and demonstrate installing the drip rail molding on the 68 Mustang.

You probably didn't know that TUBA is also an acronym for:

Now you know. You're welcome.

It would be interesting to go back in time and seeing the factory guys putting on the drip rail moldings as the cars roll down the line!

Autoparts store in the grease section and get some "Superlube" clear synthetic grease and rub some on the drip rail before you start , makes it 10 times easier and repels water to minimize rust from any scratches you might make .

Yes. It will act as a good rust preventative too. The big thing though is save yourself a lot of pain and simply don't layer the paint on the rail. Never. Very thin on the paint plus grease=way less pain and a good fit!

I got tired of the popular supply houses and decided to give Kentucky Mustang a shot. I placed a large suspension order. Most items were in stock but some were not. I received the bulk of it very quickly and the back ordered items came in several shipments shortly after. All items are a great quality and I am very happy so far. Jade is looking amazing.

I’ve said it before but thank you for these videos - I’m almost at the exact same stage as you and have run into nearly the identical challenges you have - these videos have been really helpful putting “Regrets” back together

Daniel Carpenter is the son of Dennis Carpenter, Dennis specialized in parts for for trucks and broncos his son started specializing in parts for mustangs. You can get replacement wiper blades at oriellys that look just like the originals with the stainless backing. It is handy when you use your car as a driver or on the road with it and need replacements. Also you can use those for regular use and the nicer ones for shows. Jade looks really good, I have a 68 Sea Foam Green coupe that I have owned since 89, she is a driver not as redone as Jade but she could hold her own. Keep up the nice work I just found your channel I have some videos to catch up on.

Back around 1973 I remember seeing in an auto magazine a story of how a $4000 Chevelle would cost $22,000 if you built it from individual parts over the parts counter. I believe that was for parts only, not labor. I'm curious what the final tally will be for Jade.

I saw a 1960 chevy wagon at a car show , the owner was mad that nobody looks at it. He said “it has 25k hours in it” , and i was thinking if an hour is worth say $30 , thats the shiniest turd I’ve ever seen

The main reason is too much paint buildup on the rail. Multiple coats applied on vehicles during restore compared to just a few, when they were first made
