25:00 NICE Studebaker Avanti, about as rare and costly as those beautiful old stock cars and trucks. I saw one of these vintage road races in Daytona January 2001 with my dad. Along with the incredible old stock cars, there were many classic cars restored cars that were also street legal going around the road course and going at about 160 in turns three and four. This is a really cool series, I wanna see if maybe Sebring may have this 'cause I don't think Daytona has since then.

It would be nice to remember and see two forgotten NASCAR road races that took place out west. In the early days of the 1950s, then called the Grand National series (today's Cup), came out (mostly road driven) and raced the high speed Willow Springs road course in the Califormia desert. Most interesting would be a late 80's/early '90s Winston West (today's "sickly" ARCA West) races thru the streets of Spokane, Washington. The 3.5 mile course included passing thru a tunnel & crossing two bridges. The car rules were same as the then Winston Cup cars, full size "big brutes" powered by big block engines whose drivers often beat NASCAR's best when they came west. The stands were packed. The races there were held for five years!
