Joe gave me his number at PME when we were doing the Lake Speed engine. He was interested in doing a video. Then he never answered a call or text since then. So I didn’t try to talk to him that day. He had a lot going on.

Also brings me back to the first video i saw of urs of the old Lysol Lumina i was just looking for old racecar vids of them firing up and here i am i never thought id get to have this journey into time like this im hooked keep it up! Also the Mark Martin video choked me up he was My gfs late fathers favorite race car driver while mine was Jeff Gordon so we bumped heads a little 😂

25:00 NICE Studebaker Avanti, about as rare and costly as those beautiful old stock cars and trucks. I saw one of these vintage road races in Daytona January 2001 with my dad. Along with the incredible old stock cars, there were many classic cars restored cars that were also street legal going around the road course and going at about 160 in turns three and four. This is a really cool series, I wanna see if maybe Sebring may have this 'cause I don't think Daytona has since then.

Dude, my brain is overloading, is there a driver certification to race, do the professional drivers sign off on using their names on the cars, Logan commented on how good it smells, made me smile!. Joe Nemechek with the baller 47 and not be political but 2024 :), did you not get to talk the driver of the #3 Wrangler car, that Avanti at the 27:54 mark. That sucked for Mark Dolfi spinning due to the dirt on the track. The Rowdy #54 is pretty sick. The Bud Moore vintage Mustang was my favorite, I love the vintage racing! SOOO much in this video! Thank you guys!

Another great video! John Finger was the Mazda dealer here in Greenville, SC, for many years. He raced in several classes in the SCCA and was known as "King of the Hill" for his many victories at the Chimney Rock Hill Climb. I'm sure he has many stories he can tell along with some very interesting vehicles in his garage. My favorite racer in this video is the former Bud Moore Mustang. I also like the Camaros, Challengers, Javelins from the historic Trans-Am days. They were built to run left & right while NASCAR racers not so much. Thanks for what you and Logan do for us fans.

It would be nice to remember and see two forgotten NASCAR road races that took place out west. In the early days of the 1950s, then called the Grand National series (today's Cup), came out (mostly road driven) and raced the high speed Willow Springs road course in the Califormia desert. Most interesting would be a late 80's/early '90s Winston West (today's "sickly" ARCA West) races thru the streets of Spokane, Washington. The 3.5 mile course included passing thru a tunnel & crossing two bridges. The car rules were same as the then Winston Cup cars, full size "big brutes" powered by big block engines whose drivers often beat NASCAR's best when they came west. The stands were packed. The races there were held for five years!

I have been really busy the past few weeks, but I am glad you got this out. I was hanging out with Jim Barfield and their crew. Jim was spotting for the 16 Ford Mustang with the old Greg Biffle look. He finished in second place in his class. That was the first time he had ever driven a race in Vintage Racing except for practice and qualifying. He made several good passes to get there. I was not there Sunday, but Jim told me, he had a good run. I hope to see you there in the fall race. I was hoping Lake Speed would be there. As always another great piece of work you did there!!!

I went to a lot of Winston Cup Races from 1991 to 2013 (and whatever it was called after that until 2009). Always had my scanner so I could listen to MRN on my headset (Barney Hall was the best). The first few laps I kept my headset off just so I could hear the sound of 43 of those motors in a group roaring around the track.
