I played Legend of Dragoon... it was one of those games that seemed to fall through the cracks of history into the basement of forgotten classics, good game though. To be fair, that was the era of Resi Evil, Parasite Eve, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy, Wild Arms, Metal Gear, etc... there were so many great games and not all are remembered equally.

I really want Legend of Legaia on PS4. But it's not really well known I guess. This game was my childhood - Played it even more than Final Fantasy games. The battle system just was different and it was so much fun. I just loved it so much.

Totally agree with Rob on Vagrant Story. Really loved that game! The cut scenes and the storyline was amazing. Never forgot the cut scene with Ashley and Sydney meeting while separated by a gate and Sydney lectures Ashley about using magic and then teleports to the other side of the gate and has a swipe at Ashley. Totally amazing!

leftymu For sure. I actually didn't like IX the first time I played it. As time went by I started to appreciate it more and more. Now a fav. I know lots of people don't... but I also like VIII. I'm actually playing it right now on my Vita. Everybody has their favorites or games they like. I don't get where all the hate comes from. Just because somebody likes something that I don't is no reason for me to bash on them for it. Play whatever you like! If we were all the same... gaming (and life) would be pretty boring! VII was my first so it'll probably be my favorite forever. And if we are honest... all of the PSX FF's have their faults. It's just matter of opinion! - Cheers, mate!

Honestly from my experience it seems a BIG part of why it isn't more popular is the SD art style. Which I can totally underatand as the style isn't appealing to everyone. Obviously changing just that wouldn't change the mind of EVERYONE who doesn't like it, but I honestly feel it would definitely have a notable impact.

Don't think it ever got the classics treatment, sadly, but there was an attempted reboot on the PSP, and Sir Fortesque was one of the playable characters in that All-Stars fighting game. Again, though, a full remaster on the PS4 would be freaking glorious.

I'd probably still find mine too, back in my parents' place, but the disc was already damaged a bit when I first got it so I am doubtful it would work. Back then, it would only glitch out at the very end so it was sorta fine, although I always thought there had to be more of this amazing game and blamed the damage for being unable to find it :D

Hell yeah! Searched for this comment. I loved the LOK series. I really wish they would remake it from the fround up. Soul Reaver was originally supposed to be much larger but system limitations reatricted it. We only got half the powers and met half the cast! God it'd be great to see the rest on current gen tech! I forget hia name right now, but the voice actor for the god passed away. (The tentacle god that Raziel meets after waking up.) His voice was so distinguished it would be hard to replace. Amy (something.. the writer) is still working. Believe she did some writing for BioShock or something to that effect. I miss these games! The voice acting was top notch! Graphically well done for the time! Just a damn shame! - Cheers!

Shadows of Destiny (or Memory depending on where you live) was an amazing story driven game that was more about puzzle solving and mystery. Trying to piece together whom is trying to kill you and why while stopping the repeated attempts. It utilizes time travel and alternate endings. In a world where Life is Strange exists it feels like this game should be on the PS4 and maybe even get a reboot improving on the original game.

Destruction Derby. I still occasionally hook up my PS3 so I can play it. That game was amazing. It was 10% racing, 90% smashing cars into each other and trying to knock other racers out. You had to get enough points to avoid elimination and progress. Also, Coolboarders! Very similar to Destruction Derby in the sense that racing is part of the game, but there is so much more to it including doing stunt jumps to get points and avoid elimination. I first realized while writing this how similar those two games are, lol. It makes sense why those are the only games from PS1 that I still play. I play KH and KH2 on my PS2 every other month though, lol.

And then Beautiful Katamari on 360 allowed me and my sister to co-op the same Katamari and we were so in sync with it that we had no problems getting the ball to roll where we wanted. As a huge platforming and RPG fan, my list is pretty self explanatory. 6) Jade Cocoon: FANTASTIC anime cutscenes, weird Pokemon style combat, deep and rather serious storyline. 5) Xenogears: customizable mechs, VERY dark story, no easy answers. 4) Brave Fencer Musashi: insanely fun action-y RPG, great pace, tons of humor. 3) Chrono Cross: inventive level design, twisty and fun story, smart levelling function. 2) Clocktower: a part of the Deception game series, Clocktower puts survival and horror in survival horror in a HUGE way. The predecessor for games like Outlast and Evil Within. 1) Klonoa: it will make you feel something. The best 2D platforming outside Nintendo's best work, and a surprisingly dark story. Honorable mentions (and some Sega Saturn games that could work now that Sega doesn't make consoles): Magic Knight Rayearth Panzer Dragoon (or the PS knockoff Record of the Beldeselva War) Shining Force 3 (if a Shining game doesn't include 'Force' in the title, it doesn't count) Gex Skeleton Warriors (I stuck with PS1 / Saturn games)

The game I most want remade is Future Cop: LAPD by EA on the PS1. In a futuristic LA, ravaged by gangs, LAPD uses mechs that can transform into hovercrafts to bring order. The campaign is fine. But the game shines in its 2 player battle mode. Each mech had a base, you could capture turrets on the map which would earn you credit, with which you can buy tanks, helicopters, airplanes or another boss mech like you to fight by your side and invade the rival base. It was INSANE!!! It was loud, fast and super fun. My cousin and I had such intense matches that laster over 1 hour that we needed breaks to rest our eyes. We just couldn't see the screen anymore. Our eyes would fill with tears from the strain and we'd lie down for 10 to 15 minutes until we could resume the fight.

I'm 100% with Hollie on final fantasy 8, I actually bought an import version because I wanted it sooner, I had to work extra hard for pocket money back then >.< I would also like a remake of Chocobo racing, it's a shame there isn't a ps1 classic on psn store. Also I don't know if this got remade be xenogears was a good time filer while waiting for a new final fantasy. I would love hollies games collection she seems to have great taste.

Monster's and Co Scare Island. That game was amazing, it was so much fun to play it as a kid the levels were well designed and you could do so much things in it and the way you scared people was hillarious.

Yes Dave!!! Heart of darkness, the one game I was happy to sit down and watch my dad play for days. Incredible game. Ive seen the CG intro so many times from many feeble attempts to starting the game because I thought I'd gone wrong when I reached the part where my weapon gets eaten.

I can't remember the name of the game, but it was kinda like a diablo esk multiplayer game, it had a crafting system and you had to keep track of what you had equipped to boost your parties chance of making it though the dungeon.

I agree with Hollie, FF8 I really loved & would love to see it on PS4. As always she looks stunning :-) For me also I would love to see CTR like Rob said, the Tenchu series, MediEvil, the Fear Effect series, Silent Hill. Medal of Honor, Dino Crisis, Spider-Man, Klonoa, the Syphon Filter series, Soul Reaver, Discworld. Man theres so many I could mention :-D

I have never felt more like Rob is my video game spirit animal, I love Final Fantasy IX (it was my first) and CTR was my answer to this question. Confirmed it is the best racing game!
