I read where Adam spoke about being a "shoegazer" guitarist. I have seen some early, Opiate era videos where he kinda headbangs and it was very satisfying. I love how active Paul was

First albums of TOOL smash my brain, my percepcion of teen been completely replaced by ocean of dark noise.Lateralus its a different chapter in history of music and TOOL , Opiate ,Undertow ,Aenima are longplays everybody must To hear!I cant remember how many of my friends i infected with that music.Mostly Maynard words on Reading 94 "... How do You describe music of TOOL,cause journalists have a major problem with that??? I think our music is very suitable in Sunny Days liké also very rainy..." That's All!!!

Paul was such a active bassist and treated his bass parts like a lead guitarist while Adam puts down fantastic rhythm parts. It's one 9f the things that attracted me to TOOL. It's very special. Justin is a beast and I adore him and his playing - but Paul will always have a special place in my heart and I've thought many times about how they would sound if he hadn't have left the band. He also seemed to be a chatter box on stage, which is quite different from nowadays

I’ve come full circle with Tool. My first entry into them was a buddy of mine playing The Pot for me several years ago in his car and I thought, man this is good. I then got into classics like Sober and eventually followed the herd thinking that Lateralus (song, not album) was the best song ever created. You know, got caught up in the math, Fibonacci sequence nonsense lol. I then went backwards and really started loving their old stuff from Aenima and pieces of Opiate and Undertow. After going forward and then backwards, idk man, I feel like Undertow might be one of their best albums. I get that yes, their music matured with Aenima and especially Lateralus (incredible albums) but Undertow still has some incredible song writing plus the old school, classic Maynard anger and screams we all love.

I just read a comment on another live TOOL video in which the individual was convinced that a Danny Carey from the future was filming while the "young" DC was performing, and this is proof that TOOL are in The Illuminati. 😂😂

Of note: June-July 1994 Tool performed first European tour. This is when they began to play Zepp's No Quarter So this is one of the first times they played it in the states. They would occasionally perform it until Halloween show 2015. Opening the show Dressed as Zeppelin. *-)

What do you care if someone has their cellphone out? How does that affect your experience of either a live show or a video on the tube? Any cellphone camera today has 10x better video resolution and audio quality, so I'm glad people record shows with their phones, Mr. Sentimental (or Miss, can't tell..)
