Classic WoW Enhancement Shaman - Phase 1 BiS Guide

Heyo friendos,
In this video you'll get to fully explore the BiS (or close to BiS) items to acquire after you ding 60 but before you step into a raid. This is the gearset you'll want to have before you step into Onyxia's Lair or Molten Core...this is also what you're going to be wearing for 90% of the raid as well. YAY itemization!
We go over every item slot, why that item was chosen, how hard it will be to obtain, what enchants to put on it AND possible sidegrades for you to choose from.

Regarding *Hand of Justice* , from what I gathered, we apparently have an early Vanilla loot table. HoJ was solely on Angerforge with a very low droprate (something lile 4%). It's in a later patch, thus Phase 5 for us, that only Thaurissan drops it with a 20% dr (swaped with Force of Will) Also the a.hole doesn't wanna drop his axe ahah >:T

great vid, got a question through, what do you think about impervious giant 2h mace instead of dreadforge retaliator? It has a faster swing time and and 1% more crit and hit (although from what i can tell when equipping it over dreadforge retaliator it gives me more like 2.2% more crit, not sure if crit modifiers are different on weps than for armor.)

I do think you should do the resist set video. Super relevant for winhance IMO as melee DPS. The Fire resist set should translate to BWL with the flame buffet debuff from the drakes. Not just Rag and Gheddon. They'll need the NR set for Huhu as well as melee DPS, so good to know for AQ opening. Dragonscale Leatherworking pieces are nice but gonna be hard to acquire ;)

Just a quick point to make about Eye of Rend: any fury warrior worth their salt is going to immediately start farming mats for Lionheart Helm as soon as they hit 60 (scratch that they'll farm gold for epic mount first THEN this) so that will actually help you out a little as far as competition goes. :)

Hello Holderhek, thank you for another great video! I was wondering if you have numbers on how much totem twisting actually contributes to a melee group in a raid. I know it depends on a lot of things but it keeps bothering me. I failed to find anything. With or without this info - I'm still going dedicated Enhancement... Lok tar!

Ash4eTo I don’t have hard numbers for you because that would require knowing how much damage the raid is putting out before and after your buffs. Providing your group with anywhere form 2-4+ crit with GOA and then the melee with that WF bonus is absolutely beneficial. This becomes even more “viable” if you’re the dedicated nightfall shaman and have essentially raised the entire raids damage with that proc alone. It all comes down to playstyle and raid composition. If you want to be a buffer that happens to melee to accomplish that, then twisting and nightfall will be the play. If you want to try to push the limits of the class and do as much damage as possible yourself, twisting is out of the question as it just uses too much of your already minuscule mana pool. Kind of went on a tangent here but that’s the topic of my next video. To sum up: twisting provides a great dps boost to your group. It will roughly halve your own personal damage however.

Also, I read some where WF can’t proc for 3 seconds after a proc so slow 2hers are better can you confirm that for classic?

Cameron McDonald there is no internal cooldown for windfury, that’s a burning crusade thing. HoJ and Blackhand’s is the bis Combo. Guard captain would only be useful if you needed the extra hit.

i went blood mail gauntlets, belt and boots with leggings of destruction. so str 187, agi 130(i went with 1+1+1% atk speed instead of agi enchants), stam 187, int 134, spi 103. so 628ap, 23.59% critt, 7hit unbuffed.

Bruisin You wind up with slightly better sustain damage. It’s only for PvE and only situationally with axes as an orc. Slow is still better for PvP due to massive WF scaling off of top end damage.

Is it okay to try and get 8% hit as soon as you hit lvl 60, go with the 19/32/0 spec and then start doing raids like onyxia and molten core?

Skumtomten 1337 if you have most of your pre-bis yeah. If you are getting 9% hit from gear (You need 9% total, being an orc and using an axe gets rid of 3% off that total) you are probably close anyway. Buy a brainhacker and go to MC 🤝

How about "Brain Hacker" epic axe? 2.1 attack speed, around 55 dps, and chance to proc 200-300 extra dmg. Managed to pick it up from AH on my server, it feels pretty good on my Shammy I must say

I'm not sure but how is the Hit-Cap changing beeing a Orc while equipt a Axe. Because what i have heard is, haveing 305 weaponskill increases the Hit-Chance and increases also the glancing-Blow-damage. while having the Talent Nature Guardiance (3% Hit) should be the Hit-Cap on Gear only 3%. which makes a total of 6% because 305 weaponskill only takes 6% hit-chance. This means we can go way more on stats and dont need to stick on Hit-Gear.

sixtyupgrades.com/set/dc1fFWabSg4cBxGYwqG8Su Was doing some Dire Maul theory-crafting and you can hit 9% hit cap without any raid gear. This lets us run the 19/32/0 build into molten. Keeping in mind Molten Core I also drop Parry from Enhance tree and 2 points from Reverberation to pick up Elemental Warding. What do you think? Only problem is with classic I don't think the Rune of the Guard Captain will be available at the same time as Dire Maul, and I can't find another way to replace that 1% hit.

It's just one of those ideal World situations that doesn't actually exist but a super high DPS fast two-hander would eliminate a lot of our spiky damage and also even out our damage to be more reliable.

After some BRD runs, I can confirm that hangerforge drops Hand of justice. Atlas loot says the emperor also drops it but I've only killed him once so far xD Say, I'd like to know if there are 2 handers considered too fast? I ended up on the Impervious Giant, a mace with no raw stats but 1%hit, 2%crit and 2.70 speed

The speed doesn’t really matter for us and I kind of prefer faster weapons in PvE. Feels less clunky. And yeah HoJ drops from both Emp and Angerforge. It’s super great.

hey, isn't hitcap 9% for non orcs and 7% for orcs with axes? you have 6% in the video because of bracers.. also mask of the unforgiven headpiece with 2% hit would be good if you are troll or tauren

Sarmatius hit cap is 8% for 2H. You get 3% hit from talents with 13pt in resto. 2% of that hit actually translates to functionality due to blizzards scripting. For non-Orcs that means you need 7% hit from gear. If you’re an Orc and use an Axe you can get by with 6% hit from gear. Mask of the Unforgiven is a great way to get some hit in P1 tho.

Sarmatius yep 9% for anyone who isn’t an orc using an Axe. 8% for orc with axe because 305 weapon skill gives 1% more hit against lvl 63. The -1% hit from blizzard on talents really muddles the whole process.

I think you’ve missed out on a tonne of Crit with this guide, you haven’t put talents into resto for that 3% extra hit so you’ve put in a bunch of hit gear that isn’t realistically needed. I’ve made a gear set for pre raid bis that has 27% crit and still 6% hit for phase 1
