When Tommy covers Gary Moore, it's always special. Gary was pretty much his guitar idol, and he gives everything he's got in these covers. You can't really go wrong with any of his covers, though. He's truly one of the best musicians I know of.

Tommy is a big fan of Gary Moore. In this video, he plays a copy of Gary's guitar. But in 2023, Tommy's dream came true, he bought a guitar that belonged to Gary Moore. And he performed with it at a concert dedicated to Gary's memory, together with Moore's brother and his band. I consider this recognition of Tommy's talent.

Tommy is a musical genius with a voice of an angel 😍🤩 He was lead guitarist in Sabaton for almost 8 years when he decided to leave and focus on his own band Majestica and his You Tube channel. Yes, Gary had a rock era before he turned back in a way to Blues in 1990 with Still got the Blues. So yes, this is from the Gary’s 80s rock era and Tommy plays a lot of those. This cover here from Empty Rooms is an almost 1:1 cover from Gary’s live performance in Tommy’s homeland Sweden in April 1987, a fabulous concert btw!

Here Tommy is playing one of his two Gary Moore replicas, that a friend built for him. Since then he has aquired an original guitar from. Gary Moore, that he uses when covering Gary. Tommy first hesrd the music of Gary at age 9 and decided to learn to play guitar like him and become a rock star. Something he has accomplished pretty well by now.

There are not many guitarists that take on a Gary Moore song and do it justice. Tommy is a big Gary Moore and the guitar that he plays in the video is a Charvel Gary Moore signature model.

I think this is a cover from a live version of this song that Gary Moore did in Stockholm. The original studio version does not have quite as long guitar solos.

You won't be disappointed with the original. Gary Moore's performance is more raw, but his guitar playing is just as sublime. Tommy has a better voice, technically, but Gary has so much emotion in his. Two of my favourite Gary Moore songs are Law of the Jungle and Murder in the Skies.
