"Let`s do now something else" is what Nathan says :) Dimash paused, listened to what Nathan is playing, and changes his vocalise. This is another short video from Dimash`s channel, where he sings a bit of Brahms, because "Sometimes you want to sing so much that you don`t care what time you do it :))) It`s 3 AM and it`s a little cloudy outside the window. It`s time to sing Brahms" : kzbin.infox9Iey84UCIo

Gosh, I enjoy your musical analyses of Dimash. I have Schindler's List in my playlist - the BBC version, conducted by Keith Lockhart with violin soloist Chloe Hanslip. Chloe's emotional interpretation is reminiscent of how Dimash uses his soprano register, in general. Today, from you I learned about the interval John Williams uses in multiple compositions - I didn't know that! I really enjoyed Nathan Wang's choices in this piece; he and Dimash have great synergy. I hope they do more together beyond Nathan's composition "Join Hands" at the Golden Panda Awards. I think this raw video was just two great musicians relaxing and getting to know each other.

To get more of Dimash improvising(which I'm pretty sure he's doing here, perhaps as a break in-between what they're really working on together?) I recommend the vocalise version of "Know"(aka. "Ascolta La Voce") from his Arnau Concert in Kiev. Ps. If you want to hear more of Dimash singing without a mic there's an almost hour long compilation by Dia Linwen of him doing just that throughout the years(from childhood to more recently) that you might find interesting.

Dear Sir Hairless, I just watched your reaction of Ikanaide and Autumn Strong and really want to recommend something. Seeing how you enjoyed exploring the comparisons between different version of songs ( original vs Dimash versions) I believe you woukd absolutely enjoy reacting to „Love is like a Dream”. A bit of background: this song was written by Igor Krutoy 30 years ago for a legendary russian singer Alla Pugachova. It became very popular and was covered by several other artists - most notably Lara Fabian, who you might know of, and who has a long history of collaborating and friendship with Igor Krutoy. Now, Dimash performed his version of this song - rearranged for him by Igor - in a tribute concert dedicated to the original legendary Alla Pugachova. What he did with the original song , how he transformed it into sth else entirely, is incredible and made for one of the absolutely best performances of his. It is simply stunning. To appreciate Dimash’s take you need to check the original by A. Pugachova and maybe Lara Fabian’s cover. Both great in their own rights, but Dimash’ s version is just an experience. The said performance is one of the top videos on his channel ( the one with burgundy suit😉). You will not regret, enjoy🙂

Although this is incomplete, it is truly spectacular to watch the casual performance with Dimash and Nathan. If I had to guess about the opening to the Schindler‘s List theme, I’d say the major ending of the intro, mirrors the normal optimism we tend to feel in real life tragedies. Hoping things are nearing the end, getting better. We often take moments of joy when we can. It’s only later we find that things have actually gotten much worse. But those moments of optimism can help us to cope in the moment. Maybe it’s not as deep as that. But that’s what I got out of it.
