When you have Johnny Bench as your 7th batter....you are stacked.

Exactly, when first announcing the Reds line-up I thought "where's Bench??" Finally at #7.

Bench had a down year that year, though. He only batted .234 that year, which explains why he was so low in the lineup.

2:21:41 I think this young man Joe Morgan might have a future in TV sports broadcasting.

Frustrating 9th for the Yankees. Munson arguing with the home plate umpire and Billy Martin getting tossed. Johnny Bench hit a three run bomb in the 9th, his second of the game. Morgan and Bench were the real deal. Excellent players. Impressed that Pete Rose helped keep Mickey Rivers in check. I know Rivers was probably shocked to see someone play to close to him. The Big Red Machine were legendary.

Four HOFers on that Reds Big Red Machine hitting order, crazy times. I don't care what anyone says, Rose is a HOFer.
