I never knew there was a Django version of this, amazing. If anyone discovered the Patrick Bartley alto sax solo that sent a lot of players wild a few months ago (incredible solo), you'll definitely recognise a lot of what he plays is mimicking the playing style of Stéphane Grappelli (the guy on violin here) -- I already thought this but now I've actually heard Grappelli playing on this song, Bartley is quoting him directly which is super cool!

I gotta say this man another reason why django was so great. You listen to his solos hes always breathing between licks and ideas just like a horn or woodwind player. Fucking 'gypsy jazz' guitarists just shredding a million notes per second.. missing the point if you ask me
