Just watched this and appreciate you showing women of different sizes. Would like to see more of this in your current videos (2023). I was always very thin before I was married, but after dealing with severe health issues, I was overweight for many years. I’m finally feeling better and able to lose the weight but still believe women of all sizes can still look classy and sophisticated. ❤

This year I bought two pairs of black velvet leggings, which can be dressed up or down. I love how they look tucked into tall suede boots. So warm and comfy. But IMHO it is critical to fully cover one's behind for them to look appropriate. We have all seen women wearing them as trousers and not looking their best. Love your channel, Gemma!

Yes, #1 on the to-do list of leggings: COVER THE RUMP! And then layer 3-4 pieces so the outfit doesn't look like just leggings and a longer top. The layering and accessorizing is the very thing that pulls a leggings outfit all together.

Up here in the cold north, i wear leggings underneath a corduroy mini skirt with boots. Keeps everything warm and you can go anywhere with the skirt.

Keys to not looking sloppy or overly casual in leggings is to buy leggings of high quality fabrication, and to assure that your backside is covered at all times. Leggings are not meant to be a substitute for trousers. Look and feel great!

It depends. They range from what you might call footless tights to skinny stretch trousers. I wear the latter. They look great especially if the boots are the focal point of an outfit. I think if you wear trousers with knee boots and there’s too much fabric in the trousers to tuck in, that can look bulky.

Love your channel! I personally am not a fan of leggings,but you made them look presentable. I also think they are best for very causal outings and for very thin ladies. Thin ladies use to be the norm when I was going up.

I was just going to say, I watched the whole video but 99.9% of the examples had long over-the-bum/crotch shirts/sweaters on, and it wasn't even mentioned??? Did I miss it? Found that odd. I personally don't wear leggings out of the house unless they are thick like pants, and always cover my back and front to the thigh (I'm a conservative dresser and 57). I still don't see them as pants... That said, I really enjoyed these examples and was inspired, so I will definitely try some of these!

Casual/sporty leggings shouldn't be worn with heels haha. But high-quality leggings like the Spanx faux leather leggings look very chic and can be dressed up or down.

I just ordered some black merino leggings from Woolx, after buying two pairs of lovely Merino 365 leggings that I have decided are too thin to wear by themselves out of the house, unless I wear them under a skirt of some sort, or wear them as thermals. I hope the Woolx leggings are thicker, at twice the price. The description promises "no camel toe." Iʻm counting on that. Iʻd like to be able to wear the Woolx as an outer layer without a skirt, but weʻll see.

Leggings look good on long slim legs and perfect bums! For the rest of us, they're great for lounging with a long top, or working out. I can't make myself wear them in an "outfit".... Love all these outfits. It is way more challenging though, when the woman wearing them is 5'2", as opposed to the 5'9"+ models. Even if a healthy weight. Everything looks amazing on tall women.
