@@SlyCooper1920 no he's an outright villain. Just because he doesn't want to work with Ceasar doesn't make him an anti-hero. He's still a murdering, woman abusing scum bag without a single good bone in his body. Covering your own ass because you're smart enough to realize actively working against the person who controls the place you live and your entire way of life isn't doing a good thing. It's being practical. What were the Omerta bosses expecting? Realistically if they follow through with their plan they're now surrounded by an NCR army, many of whom would have been their victims, and the dozens if not hundreds of securitrons armed with actual missles and grenade launchers. Not to mention their entire way of life is highly frowned upon by the very person they're colluding with, a person with an army numbering in the 10s of thousands, albeit most of that army is busy maintaining previously conquered areas outside the Mojave. The bestt case scenario, the Omertas execute their plan, The Legion conquers the Mojave, and then Ceasar LITERALLT throws them to the dogs and/or crucifies them. The Omerta plan is straight up suicide no matter how it plays out, Cachino just so happens to be the only one smart enough to realize that.

The chlorine in Ralph's inventory is not a bug or mod. EVERYONE has this. My guess is that the devs planned on making a speech check, but must have cut it after putting it into the strategy guide.

I think helping Cachino is hands down the right thing to do. Big Sal, Nero, and Clanden are on a whole nother level of bad....At least Cachino knows hes a terrible person and seems to be a much friendlier when the mission is done.

Well I think it's less about the franchise and more about which writers/designers are chosen. You have tons of games out there that focus heavily on the atmosphere along the combat, Metro and Bioshock being two of them. Everyone knows by now how weak both freedom and plot wise the fourth installment was but i'm truly amazed how Oxhorn manages to still produce enjoyable content... Of course this is just my opinion.

The guys at Obsidian Studios came to Las Vegas to do research for this game. I met them then, cool guys. There is a chlorine factor in Henderson, just South-East of Vegas. Smart of them to use it in the game.

The place's name is "Gomorrah" - nothing good is going to come out of it. I was given this quest by Yes Man, not Mick and Ralph, and having never found Carlitos, I didn't even know about Joanna's quest, so I had no idea what a piece of crap Cachino was. My first play-through, I THOUGHT I was handing the casino over to a better guy (maybe cachino is better than big sal anyway....that's debatable). Either way, I bumbled through this quest just right, killed Sal and Nero, killed Clanden after finding the dead hooker, get Troike to flee, burned up the guns with the thermite, and then for some reason, Mick in Freeside was happy with me and gave me the pimped-out Pip-Boy, even though I hadn't spoken to him about the Omertas before. And I love Mr. New Vegas' "bumper spot" about this quest, where cachino says that Sal and Nero went camping because they always wanted to "sleep with the lakelurks".

I always run high luck characters, so I max the casinos nice and early in my playthroughs. 9 luck means you get dealt 11 and 21 at the blackjack tables pretty regularly. Double down on 11 or just win 1.5x bet on blackjack, then once you're 1000 caps from the limit, play slots for one of the jackpots. They let you keep any chips above their limit, even if it's thousands from a big jackpot. Did this to get all of my implants pretty early in the game, as well as my gun runners weapon of choice and the mk2 reinforced combat armor they have.

I suppose one thing to think about when making these decision is that just because you take care of the bigger problem, it doesn't mean you can't take care of the little problems after the game is done. You can always take care of Cachino later, after the the big faction war at the end of the game is taken care of. Not that you can really take that kind of option in game. But if you get it into the role-playing that you have running into your head, then you can always imagine once you're finished with the Legion, then you can take care of the lose ends you had to leave untied becuase you had bigger fish to fry.

Cachino himself is not a good person, so either way you're picking between killing a bad man and unkmowingly helping the Legion, or destroying an entire family full of people that have done worst than what Cachino has and preventing them from helping the Legion, there's no real morally good option with this quest and that's how reality works sometimes, you won't always have a good or bad to choose from sometimes you just have to choose the "better" option. And letting everyone live is still not a morally good option because you're letting these people that have harmed others and would willingly do it again roam freely, they won't stop their behaviour just because you allow them to be free.

It's extremely easy to get kicked out by gambling if you have 10 luck, you almost can't lose. It was a really awesome and easy way to get caps early on. Keep up the good work Ox!

Mick’s dialog seems to imply that it was supposed to be said after the game ends, which is reinforced by the fact that I think there are cells for freeside and the strip post-endgame, as well as cut dialog of the securitrons saying “True to Caesar” and something NCR related.

Did the easy route regarding the Casinos. Making my cap pouch go Jingle-Jangle~ everytime. [spoilers below] . . . . . Get luck to 9/10 at the start. Stealth through Junction Quarry using Stealthboy from Schoolhouse safe(I think it's a guaranteed loot item). Get to area around McCarren and loot an NCR outfit from soldiers killed by fiends. Enter McCarren(not wearing uniform), head to monorail (while near the escalators wear the uniform to pass by the guards). Enter Vegas. If at any time I hit level 2 use Intense Training to get Luck to 10. Gamble in all casinos by Blackjack. Get implants. Fast travel to Goodsprings and proceed through the game as normal.

I usually don't go to 10 on a stat at the get go due to 2 things, Implants and Intense Training at Level 2. That means I can allocate it on another stat. I mean you can get caps a plenty from gambling even on a 9 Luck and bump that to a 10 with an implant. It's nothing special (pardon the pun) just optimizing starting stats and making use of implants (since you can add +1 to all the stats anyway)

In my current playthrough, I created a character with 10 luck and immediately left Goodsprings and went straight to the strip. I got in by running past the NCR guards at the monorail. I was able to break all the casinos immediately! Fun!

The Container of Chlorine bug was patched in to add it into the vendor inventory because the Speech Check has ridiculous requirements and is near impossible to recreate. I've found it once I think. if you side with Cachino, then enter the room without companions but don´t help him fight the bosses, they will all get killed. This will complete the quest and get Both Cachino and the bosses killed without losing Karma. It is my favorite solution.

I went along with Cachino with the intention of assassinating him after Sal and Nero were taken out. Turns I didn’t need to. When I fooled Sal into thinking Nero was a backstabber, Nero killed both Sal and Cachino, giving me enough time to stand up and erase Nero’s life. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the outcome. My only regret was when I persuaded troika to destroy the guns for me, only for him to get caught. I felt bad for that. To make up for it, I killed every Omertà I could find in order to avenge him.

It is. I know im 2 years late but a "button man" is mafia slang for a hitman or a "fixer". Similarly, the Mexican drug cartels have hitmen/fixers and they are called sicarios (roughly translates to "assassin" or "hired killer"), preforming essentially the same role.

This one quest has more lore and content than the first three vaults I found in fallout 4. Sigh. The amount of dialogue and to freely go on your own path is something that can’t be rivaled in new Vegas. Kinda seems like a entirely different game. I guess it is. honestly my headcannon is a Mr House/independent combo in which i've gone the Cachino rout for Gomorrah, though after the dust has settled from the battle for the dam my guy plans on getting Cachino outta there. cant really determine if he simply gets all new managment, or if he simply shuts the Gomorrah down, but he is sure to do what he can to reduce the rampant drugs and violence there.

Hey Oxhorn, I have maxed out in Gomorrah, as well as the rest of the casinos. It takes a really long time, especially at the Sierra Madre, but if u have high luck it makes the process a little quicker. Also, if u max out at Sierra Madre and trap Elijah in the casino u get a great reward for it.

I would like to see a future Fallout game or DLC set on the British Isles, simply because there have been two NPCs so far (that I know of) who are apparently British: Allistair Tenpenny in Fallout 3, and Proctor Quinlan on the Prydwyn in Fallout 4 who has an English accent, with no explanation of where he came from. Fallout 3 lore mentions "Allistair Tenpenny came to the Capital Wasteland from Great Britain to seek his fortune", but not how he managed that.

Heck, I wish there was DLC that reinstates the cut content quest for Paladin Danse to confront Elder Maxson in combat and takes over the role of Elder after the Institute is gone. (Which is of course a bit difficult adding it retroactively, if the player blew up the Prydwyn and/or killed Danse.)

*I would love a DLC shedding some light on Proctor Quinlan because that character has so many interesting quirks and talents, but sadly the quests given out by him are rather bland fetch and escort quests.* He ha some dialogue in other quests lines, *but we never get a personal quests for Quinlan like we do for Nick Valentine, it feels like so much wasted potential.* Did Quinlan somehow cross the Atlantic from England, ended up in the Capitol Wasteland and got picked up by the Brotherhood of Steel there? (Because the Prydwyn flew to Boston from the Capitol Wasteland.) If he had been born in the former United States, even if his ancestors had been from Britain prior to the War, you'd think after 200 years his parents and him would no longer have a clipped English accent. Did he come from a Vault? Why did Quinlan leave the British Isles? How? Did he use a boat? Did he build an airplane or blimp and steer it westwards across the ocean? Did Quinlan construct the Prydwyn for the Brotherhood of Steel we see in Fallout 4? He is proficient with engineering and nuclear physics, because he is in charge of the nuclear reactor core that powers the Prydwyn, as he mentions to the Sole Survivor that the Prydwyn is running out of reactor fuel or shielding (I don't remember the details, does anything ever come of that?). He knows about robotics and programming (if you take P.A.M. to the Prydwyn he reprograms her), as well as decryption and DNA ('Outside the Wire' quest). I always wondered why Quinlan didn't join the Followers of the Apocalypse, he seems the perfect recruit for them. He is in charge of recovering pre-war technology, old manuscripts and tech blueprints, something which could perfectly well bring him in contract with Zetan alien tech or even more....esoterial material of Lovecraftian type. (Quinlan as a cultist? Why not. Imagine he got his fingers on Cabot's crown.) On the other hand, Quinlan is not a Mad Scientist type, he states his personal belief that some technologies should be buried because their potential for abuse is too big, which fits with the Brotherhood's stated mission. (Sole Survivor: "You aren't disappointed that all the Institute's technical research just went up in smoke?" - Quinlan: "It's always been my sincerest hope that the Institute's ill-conceived research would never see the light of day. And, thanks to your efforts, it appears that my hopes have become reality.") And yet, for a man who claims that fictional literature is a waste of time ("There are other scribes within the Brotherhood that consider fictional material essential, but I refuse to allow them aboard this vessel.") and who seems only interested in technical manuals, he obsessively collects Grognak the Barbarian comics and goes full nerd fanboy rage when one of his scribes dared to mishandle a recovered comic so that it is no longer in mint condition (on his "Quinlan to be deleted" private holotape). That is oddly endearing. A lot of players seem to dislike Quinlan because of his acerbic, sarcastic "asshole" behaviour, dry pendantic nature and stilted speech, but if the Sole Survivor earns reputation with the BoS and eradicates the Institute (especially if it's done using the Minutemen), Quinlan becomes downright friendly and offers praise and congratulations. Maybe he is not arrogant, but just an extremely intelligent nerd with lack of social skills? Speaking of his Grognak fanboy habit, what is that weird painting on the bulkhead above Quinlan's bed? Are those... fingerpainted fantasy monsters? And speaking of his cabin, why do all the other high-ranking Brotherhood members above the Prydwyn have their own cabin with a door, yet Quinlan's cabin seems to be a former storage room and doesn't have a door. Give the poor man some privacy! Quinlan's stiff demeanor and weathered skin make him appear old, well into middle age. He even remarks on his own age. So much that my mental picture of him is grey-haired. Yet his hair is brown. Does this mean he dyes his hair? Is that a hint of vanity in a man who seems so disinterested in social interaction? He certainly has some sassy bitchy "hand on hip" poses I've seen. Quinlan keeps a cat, Emmet, in his cabin. Emmet is one of only two cats we see in Fallout 4, the other one is Dora in the village of Covenant. What if Emmet is a synth animal, a spy for the Institute aboard the Prydwyn? We know that the Institute has created synth animals that it uses as remote cameras: the crows that watch Vault 111 and Diamond City and other places. But if the Institute replaced Emmet, or put the cat where Quinlan would find it and adopt it, they should know where Danse is, so why would they list him as a synth that's gone missing?

The Courier Who Broke The Bank is featured on my steam profile :) It's easy once you have 7 or more luck. but the rewards are a bit bugged, you need to stop gambling at each milestone or you miss out on the ones you've passed. I also got myself banned from Vikki and Vance and Atomic Wrangler just for completionist's sake, but those are much lower limits so it was even easier. So far I've not done a Legion playthru so I've only ever sided with Cashino.

I love this quest line I’m playing through on a house run and just completed this by helping cachino I was kicked out for gambling to much then thought Carlitos and Joanna we’re screwed over by the family and wiped them all out house wasn’t very pleased but regardless I made heaps of caps doing this

Oh every play through I have at least 7 luck and rush to get kicked out of all the casinos, coming out with like 40k caps or so. It’s pretty easy and takes all of 30-40 minutes if you’re decent at the blackjack

The casinos is a surprisingly good start for early players with a luck-build at the strip. I had the best start of any of my characters by gambling until I got banned, having over 30k caps at level 6 having 10 or more in luck makes the highest stakes almost a guarantee.
