This is legit one of my favorite quests from New Vegas. I think it exemplifies the game's idea of 'many ways to skin a cat' theme. You can complete this quest so many different ways. It implements aspects of the Fallout world you can't see in game and history of the origins of the strip and the dark undercurrent of the wasteland. It's just fantastic.

I liked this quest. It had tension, mystery, slight sleuthing, fancy clothes, stuck-up characters who really pushes my buttons AND of course cannibalism. I usually send that other farmer away and then do the quest anyway. I don't think bringing pain to Gunderson would make anything change, that's why I don't go for killing him or his son.

This quest has "it's complicated" written all over it. If you help Heck, you're helping a robber baron. If you kill him, the Strip loses an important source of food.

The first time I played this quest, it ended poorly. Incredibly poorly. I was literally running around in the centre casino of the Ultra-Lux, having failed the final step of the quest and accidentally made the entire casino hostile. So there were dozens of Society members, etc chasing me around in a grand circle as I was desperately unloading all of my ammunition and explosives on them in a grand maelstrom of death.

Oxhorn, you and you alone are the only reason I decided to ditch Fallout 4 and give New Vegas another try. The last play through I did with New Vegas was when I was a kid and as such was not capable of fully appreciating it for the amazing world that it is. In fallout 4 when you find Nick Valentine in the vault and you go back to his agency his worker gives to a coat like the mysterious stranger in fallout new Vegas and fallout 3 after that I came across the dialog quote and it's was either when you ask him to talk and find your way to that he u say "why do u wear that?"or something along those quotes or when he ask u to talk and u find the quote I was talking about. This seems fishy because he has those notes about the mysterious stranger and maybe Nick Valentine might have wanted to dress like the mysterious stranger. Hopefully you read this and continue this good work:)
