Indian Aztec Clay Mask vs The Cetaphil Clay Mask
We did a prior experiment that showed the Aztec Clay mask should be mixed with apple cider vinegar diluted in water (Water:ACV 4:1)
Overall, they perform similarly but based on ease of use alone, I’d go with the Cetaphil one. Kiehls also has an awesome clay mask!

I feel like aztec masks are better for individuals with naturally oily skin. I often recommend them to my family members who are of African decent/biracial for their t-zone and cheeks. Specifically my cousin. I show her how sectioning the masks really helps so I often am wearing 3 masks in different areas as well. My Asian family members have dry/thinner skin so I tend to tell them to mix the Aztec clay with a mask that leaves their skin too oily/balmy instead of throwing that product away. As the sticky feeling bothers them. There's always a use/benefit to these mediums :D

I’m allergic to apples to a certain degree and when I did this with ACV my face would come out tomatoe red. But I love the Aztec mask and have been using it for years. I now use it with organic Rice vinegar to avoid the allergic reaction. Also have a sensitivity to corn which is what regular white vinegar is derived from. Still as effective as it had been before despite the redness. Never tried the Cetaphil mask but I’m allergic to lots of crap so I stick to the Aztec mask. Trick is that it leaves a wonderful palette for deep hydration afterward. I like to use a hyaluronic acid sheet mask before skincare routine. Skin just slurps it up.

@@Smaugette no straight no added water but it burnt. Now I use it just straight with water no vinegar ouch lol. It works amazing and its cheap as. Don't spend big money on big labels when they all do the same thing

I put a balm on my lips and under my eyes when I use the Aztec clay so that stretch feeling when it dries isn’t bad. Then of course moisturize your face after.

I know this isn't entirely relevant to your video, but you often discuss how important collagen is to skincare. Skincare is very important to me but I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS - hypermobile type) so naturally, collagen isn't my body's best subject. I understand I'm not your patient, and not all doctors are trained to care for EDS patients, so you might not feel comfortable giving me such medical advice but I have since this topic brought up amongst other EDSers, whether or not using collagen topicals or tablets would be of much use to us. I don't think that it would but I would love some help navigating this collagen problem in regards to skincare.

Yep. Commercial skin care clog my skin and don’t heal my scars. I’ll use natural Ayurvedic powders til I die. Everyone thinks I just got out of high school-I’m 31.

Idk for me I feel the scent of the clay cancels the APV smell plus that Aztec stuff is cheap so I stick with the Aztec and go in with a good ass moisturizer after

I mix with water only, I feel like apple cider vinegar would be SUPER irritating for people with sensitive skin causing not only extra dryness but irritation as well.

Instead of apple cider vinegar try to mix it with just water, milk or curd. Vinegar is too harsh for me... Never putting it on ma skin.
