I preach all the time about learning new techniques and not doing the same thing over and over, because it will make you a better angler. That is exactly what I set out to do in this short walleye video! The 4" Jerk Minnow JR is a slayer!!

That first strike while shallow water trolloing was unreal. Seeing your lure go over the fish and it followed the hook on livescope was crazy. Another great video.

Love the jerk minnows! It’s become my confidence bait and always the first bait I try. I use a 3” paired with a triangle shaped jig head from barrows tackle. It gives the bait a very erratic action instead of just up and down. Love the content as always! You’re the best!

This video is like the short bonus videos after the credits on a movie. Thanks for adding it Clayton. Where we fish walleyes they typically are grouchy and have a hard time catching them on new baits. Jig and a minna is usually the only thing they like. I’ll try something new next time we get on them. Needed the confidence boost.

Thanks for another great video Clayton. You have inspired me to get back into using jigs. I have not used jigs for about 20-25 years due to always getting snagged and broke off (albeit fishing from shore). I will be doing some new rigging with a bunch of jig heads this weekend for Walleye here is Muskoka Ontario, but this time from a boat so hopefully no snapped lines. I have a plethora of different plastics that would work for fish so hopefully i can get into those pesky walleye this weekend. Thanks again for the videos and confidence in trying jigging again. Keep up the great work. Cheers!!!

I see that you are using the Hercules handcuff clamps on your ArcLab pole mounts. Do you think they are needed for trolling at 1.5 to 3ish mph? Does the original mount not work at say side scan speeds?
