The cleaning and servicing of a Honeywell Turbo Fan, model HT804.. This is the older version of the Turbo Fan which moves significantly more air than the ones currently in production today.. Quite powerful fans for their size; they truly live up to their name..

Thanks to this video my fan went from in the trash to being oiled up and running like new. Thanks a lot!

Extra applause for comment about planned obsolescence. Extremely helpful video. Have you ever heard of Caframo Chinook fan? The manual actually states that self lubricating bearings can eventually dry out and/or clog and has how to blow out and lubricate the bearings which looks like a less than 5 minute task. I have two and won't buy any other type in the future, however I have a couple of Honeywell fans that I want to keep out of the landfill as long as possible. Thank you for showing me how.

I have these fans in both colors and they are a pain to take apart and oil and clean every month due to the poor design. This video was very informative and helpful.

Wow what engineer at Honeywell's went out of their way to make this little fan a pain in the ass the clean and to service I've been working on an identical fan for about 7 minutes now and I'm stuck at the motor I don't cut any wires because I don't want to break it I think I'm gonna finish cleaning it with my portable duster thumbs up for the very informational video

Thanks.. Would be nice if they spent more of their R&D resources to make something that lasts longer rather than something that's difficult enough to service that most consumers will want to toss and replace instead of service and maintain..

Great video, especially the parts for: - removing the metal fastener for the fan blade (and that it's not needed because the shaft has a "flat" side) - using a common emery board to smooth out the small scratches on the shaft from removing the metal fastener for the fan blade - replacing the once-only wiring connectors from the switch to the motor with regular wire nuts, so that the plastic housing can be washed in a tub without any wiring attached - using 3-in-1 oil that is for fans (I looked previously for the best oil to use, now I know)

i got some "low noise" version by accident which sucks cause i use the fan as white noise when i sleep so i replaced the blade with the one from my old fan which makes a louder tone now its mint. really annoying design, theres an amazonbasics fan thats basically equivalent except its much easier to service

I can say, I have a newer one. I loved the fan but I can't use it at a higher speed than 1. Anything higher it sounds like someone using a jackhammer on a floor full of metal bits, china dishes, and marbles. I might have to toss mine since its unusable at any higher speed than 1. It moves a lot of air but the sound is unbearable.
