I have had it on for 8 months garage kept but I have 13k miles on it and I would wash it 1-2 times a week depending on how dirty it got. Only have driven the car for 6.5 months since it is winter in Indiana. But I did do some testing and beating the crap out of the coating with some high and low ph cleaners and it still is holding on well but did notice a little drop in performance so I don’t think it will last but maybe 2 more years tops. I have stopped using PH 2 and 14 cleaners on it after doing it 5-6 times. I am only using PH 3-10 now since I don’t want to take the coating off just yet. @ gotcha. The first two washes served different purposes. The alkaline wash was to help get organic matter off the surface. The acidic was to help remove any mineral build up. The pH neutral wash was to ensure any road film was removed. The reason why I pre spray with pH neutral soap for my contact wash is to provide that much more lubrication and to stop water spotting when it’s in the sun. Everything I do has a reason and isn’t wasteful.

My 8-Year coating is now at 3 months also. Since December it's been subjected to rain and mostly snow, salt, ice, and grime. Really dirty! I've tried to wash it every week or so and have used Bilt-Hamber Touchless once but usually Carpro Reset and a foam cannon, but in the Sub-Zero temps, I use McKee's Rinseless. I recently had to wash it outside in 19F using buckets of hot water and Rinseless and my Ryobi EZCLEAN 650psi. I just blow dried it before it froze. Sometimes, I just spray hot Rinseless on to remove the bulk of the crap and leave it at that! I bought some Clean Ceramic Spray and will use that as a drying aid, rather than just Rinseless when it warms up to 32F. I know I need to decon the rear end. It's pretty clogged back there. The rest though comes back with just the contact wash. So far, so good.

@@AllenReinecke you’re doing better than me. Definitely not washing enough but it doesn’t get driven as much as our other vehicle. It was 34° yesterday and wanted to wash outside but was afraid I’d make an ice skating rink in the drive.

@@michaelhalstead64 my gravel drive has an inch of compacted snow and ice as it is. A fresh coating of snow covers any wash ice! Our Camry has done just over 10,000 miles in 5 months. 28F today. Might get another wash in! 😂

I find it Hilarious that these Detailing Channels do a 3 month update on an 8 year coating! Just Remarkable that there still hydrophobic!😝🎉

@@richardf9137 the reason is because there are coatings out there that claim durability that fail less than 3 months in.

@@richardf9137 I’m glad I could add some comedy to your life! Thanks for watching. If it’s helpful, I provide updates as many people want these and appreciate them. Not sure if you’ve heard of Cerakote but they released a ceramic coating that failed very early so we’re really just checking in to see if the chemistry is holding up. I don’t give much merit to longevity claims on ceramic coatings as I mentioned in the video most people won’t keep their cars that long. People just enjoy hearing about updates on performance and user experience. The detailing channels you watch put in a lot of work to make these videos.
