Sir, I've been a mac user for 25 years and actually believe I use approximately 35% of all the "tools" Mac OS has to offer! Through your help and expert videos, I endeavor to one day reach 50% but I'm not optimistic! Love the channel and appreciate all your work on this topic. (It's all fun with just a HINT of frustration wondering if there's a tool I don't know about that will actually save me time and effort as opposed to learning as much as I can, not necessarily for the benefit of my work, frankly it's just FUN!)

An excellent video. Both in reminding me I really need to do this, and in providing some tips. The one about moving things into the control center was a big deal, I moved five in there, saved a lot of space. Also got me to dig into some third party ones and remove their icons. The weather app I use (Carrot Weather) has the app itself, an icon in the tray, and one on the upper menu. Ditched the one in the menu bar.

In monterey it looks quite different. most notably is the lack of a dedicated control center prompt via the apple icon drop down menu. It is instead located on the right side of the menu bar next to the siri icon. To find the list of native modules as displayed in this video, if you're in monterey it will be in system preferences under "dock and menu bar" I do wish monterey would get an update to reflect something more similar to that of big sur but its typical apple fashion to leave older hardware for the landfill. mid 2015 MBP maxed out specs user here. At the time of purchase my mbp cost me $2700. Let me tell you time has flew by and my cpu still feels new. I fear that it will be losing apple support in the near future. Steve Jobs > Tim Kook

can you add stuff to menu bar such as Airport Utility, (without app like bartender) id rather it be in my menu bar vs dock, im trying dock to right for the first time, want it with less stuff, I hate that finder ends up behind notifications or even of the screen.

One of my important app on he right side of the menu appears and disappers as if, the active app on the left and all it's tabs covers it. Is there a way to minimize the font on the left side so to leave more space on the right. Or is this not the problem.

Useful tips, really, but most people I know use Bartender or Hidden Bar to hide semi-frequently used items in the menu bar.

I have the old Razer Synapse icon up there but it doesn't show in Control Center. If I try to drag to delete it doesn't work either.

Then that app probably forces it to be there. You'd need to uninstall the app if you don't want it there.

Either drag them from the Control Center into the menu bar, or go to System Settings, Control Center and do it there.

There is move focus to the dock, to the menu bar (left) but nothing to the right menu bar. It would be great if they include it so I could finally access about everything on the Mac with the keyboard.

@@macmost It's just to the right of my notch. Dragging it out invokes a faint "no entry" sign. My efforts to find a place where this will switch to an "X in a circle" have been fruitless.

@@hankroest6836 I think you are talking about the FaceTime video controls that appear when you are using the app. Quit FaceTime and they go away. But while FaceTime is on, you need those to access some settings.

@@macmost No that did not work. I did finally lose it by re-booting the computer, tho. I may try to replace the icon with a less green one at some point but that may not apply to the one in the menu bar.

How to remove app icons from the menu bar? like for example I have an annoying Viber icon app which I can't remove from the Viber app setting and I don't want to see it there 😢

That's what this video is about. If you can Command+drag them out, and you can't find a setting in the app that lets you turn it off, then your only other option is to quit that app.

@@fmax32 It is up to the developer of the app. Some apps require a Menu Bar icon because they only function in that way (like my ClipTools app). Others just insist on having it there, which is their propagative as a developer.

Depends. For some you should be able to Command+drag down and away. For others, there may be a setting in the app itself. Some apps are ONLY a Menu Bar icon, so the only way to get rid of them would be to quit the app, or in extreme cases, uninstall it.

Several items won't come off while holding command. A circle with line through it appears and item snaps back to menu.

Great video (as usual). Combining this information with HiddenBar takes care of the menu bar. If you use it you need to combine their controls with. | >. A great tutorial video is "kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6uQm4qKr7Wng68".

@@macmost all icons, from WPS, Google Drive, One Drive to the critical ones like Wifi and battery can not be removed. I have try dragging near it, far away from it, put it to trash but all do not work. It does not show the X, it show this:🚫

I have never seen any sense bile talk on how to add apps in menu ar . Everyone is talking how to clean how to clean how to clean how to clean. I don’t know what happened to the people common sense. No one discussed how to add apps in menubar

You can only add icons to the menu bar if the app has something to put there. If the app doesn't have anything that goes there, like most apps, then you can't force it.
