One of the things I appreciate most about your videos is showing us how to use DIY products to clean just about everything. I have ruined more finishes than I care to admit by using something too harsh or just not right for that surface. Also learning to let the product do its work... I actually have a steam cleaner and decided to get out and use it - it was a big help on my kitchen cabinets; at least on those spots I hadn't already ruined!

The beautiful thing about homemade cleaners, is that there's so much gentler to the ecosystem. We don't need to use those toilet products that Lysol give us all I ever use is dish soap and I just do it frequently and I know that I'm not destroying the ecosystem with unnecessarily highly acidic cleaners

I appreciate having a clean stove, even tho the work is arduous for me as far as picking up those long, heavy grills! But I flatten out a cardboard box & put the grills on that, & spray them down w an all-purpose cleaner. Leave that there to soften any gunk, then I use an electric toothbrush (yup! Got one aside for kitchen cleaning!🤣) & scrub away!! I quick rinse in the sink, & back they go on my stove! I use that toothbrush for zipping thru corners, the areas around the faucets, corners, etc. & the abrasion depends if u use it plain or w an additional cleaner. 😊🤪😅😊

Pre treat with Spray Nine cleaner and use a magic eraser. After you have the top clean put wax paper down with tape and then next time it needs to be cleaned, you just roll up the waxed paper, keeping all the dirt and dust contained and then the tops just needs a quick swipe. Don't forget to put new waxed paper down 🤗
@Amy_Stanmore3 жыл бұрын
Leave some plain paper after a deep clean and the area is dry. you will not find as much dirt next time.

Your videos are great . I'm here in the U.K. and my over door is made up of threefold glass doors. The manufacturer gives instructions for taking these three glass doors apart to clean. I always clean my oven on the 1st of the month whether it needs it or not! It takes five minutes to dismantle the door and clean. My cooker is a Bosch and I've had it for twelve years but new cookers are the same.

Could you recommend the best and easiest way to clean heavy grates on top of my gas stove. They are very heavy and do get a little greasy and sticky. I take them off and lay them gently down on the kitchen counter covered with a towel while I am cleaning the top of my gas stove. My grates are three pieces that lay on top but they do not fit in my sink and they would damage my tub. I remove them to clean the top of my stove about once a week. I have been spraying them with your all purpose cleaner and wiping them with a damp microfiber cloth. They are cleaner but not completely unsticky. What a pain and a mess. I live where I get seven months of snow so doing this outside is not an option. Any suggestions?

Just a thought- clean the refrigerator door or doors, return items, give it a rest. Later wash the fresh vegetable drawer, and so on-one at a time. This should help the busy cleaner. Hey, if this takes a couple of days, so what? At least your food will not be at room temperature for such a long time. Much easier, in my opinion. Love your videos, loyal subscriber. ;-) Thanks

I think that dishwasher DOES actually have a filter. It looked a lot like mine (a Maytag/Whirlpool) which requires you pretty much dismantle it to find the filter under the one you used the toothbrush on. That one comes out and you have to remove the tube going up the back.

I prefer using washing soda (sodium carbonate) instead of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). It's a stronger alcaline (ph of 11 when not diluted with water, compared to baking soda at 8) it's a more potent degreaser. 1/2 cup in warm water will take care of most grease and grime , but also hard water stains. It's also a great scrubbing agent for your crusty oven doors and cooktops. Anyways, work smarter, not harder 😅 ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES!!
