Love the video. I feel this is one of the most important steps in model prep. I struggle removing the supports without removing detail. Stay Warm!

Great guide! One thing to note is that while you are sanding (or doing anything that will make dust); wear a mask. Resin dust is very, very, very bad (yes, three bads worth of bad) for your lungs.

Correct!!! Totally agree with you on this a lot of people just leave the marks on the model especially the face marks as well. Great video to guide them !

Yea bro faces take a little bit of work but i can see how people skip this because it’s exciting to just slap paint on there.

I remember when painting models as a kid, long before 3d printers, that you had to worry about the oils from your hands messing up your paint. I haven''t seen any current prep videos that even mention this. where do you fall on this step for prep, is it still needed?

I always try to support my models so that they don't end up on the visible part of the model. But a few times I've painted pre-supported models, because I was lazy and noticed the supports land on textured surfaces (or it just can't be avoided). That's the part I wonder about, what do you do when the support digs into a texture. As for using the hobby knife, I've found it easier to do those adjustments prior to curing, is there an advantage to doing it to a cured part? I figure the curing process can shrink or mess with the part. I guess I wouldn't have to wear gloves when it's cured.

i always fear that i'm gonna take the detail off the model if i do a full fledged sanding like you do in this video. do you ever have times where the sanding just wipes said detail off and messes the model?

Hey man, I love your videos. That been said when you sand resin maybe you should wear a mask. Take care of yourself keep up the good works

so, to all you 3d printers out there, i have a question. i bought some nice 3d printed totally not copyright infringing miniatures but they need a warm soapy bath and a scrub. is there a warmness where it becomes too warm? how hard can they be scrubbed with the always recommended toothbrush? why should i even do it? don't resin become bendy after being put in warm water? I always read that i should do this but never really understood how and why.
@sweatilaa5325 Жыл бұрын
@@lokiwartooth1138 oh! that's how and why. Thank you :) I got a bit of autism and sometimes vague instructions can be really difficult to interpret, like something as simple as how warm "warm water" should be becomes a great mystery. It sure is annoying when it happens. Thanks again :)
