I can also attest to the HK winch mount 'bumper'. Have the hidden winch mount on my WJ from HK off-road. It's the exact same as his without the lower bars. Got washed down a river. Water over the dash. Was winched out of the water, up about a 12 ft, steep (45 degree ish,) riverbank while attached at only one of the d-ring mounts. Towed a few miles off the trail, through other water crossings and small obstacles, then towed 25 miles through hills and curves with a solid rope till we got cell service. I have inspected this plate, even pulling the winch off to inspect. Not a cracked weld or even a slight bend anywhere on it afterwards. HK off-road makes some really solid stuff.

I started my build October this year(2022). After driving it for 17 years completely stock it's time! Hopefully it takes less than 5 years. I'm glad other people appreciate WJ's for the under the radar offroad beasts they are.

The thor set-up is nice, I would just piece something together because I personally think it is a lot cheaper to do it yourself for as short of a route it runs. But anyway what I really wanted to say is with that style intake it very noisy inside because of the location. But it really does give you a lot of room.

Gears make all the difference when ur trying to maximize mpg with big tires but to sweat mpg with a trail rig is kinda like wearing shoes in the pool. Great video of a cool rig. Check his “ misalignment sleeves” 😂
