The only problem going solo. If your doing it for extra money. And have a W2 job. Then you really don't need a license in my opinion. If your doing it by yourself. Just becareful ýou don't break anything. That could be costly. If it's your only source income then go by the books. Just remember if you get sick or hurt. No money coming in. Good luck

Thank you. I'm very hard on myself and if I do a good enough job. I come from a childhood with a lot of trauma, homelessness, hunger, parents with mental illness, abuse, and even as a grown up, my bosses doubting me, etc. It's been 6 months since I start my business, and its very successful but still hasn't felt like enough. I think it's just because I'm so hard on myself. But from now on I will start looking at things differently and reminding myself I did succeed. Thank you

I have a move-out cleaning business which is very requested in spring-summer. When I used to hire someone to come and help me, I always was called by the costumers to come and clean again. When I clean by myself they’re very satisfied. I don’t hire people anymore, it takes more work to go behind them and check the work after them besides my own. I once hired a woman who in the first days helped a lot, by the end I’d clean the entire house in one day while she only washed the fridge in all that time. And I lost a lot of money by paying her for nothing. I can clean a fridge like new in half an hour. For this type of business you really have to love it. And do it yourself.

This was a good listen today Angela. Thank-you. I too believe you can be a solo worker in this job. I have been, for 28 yrs. and still have 5 of my houses that I started with, and most have retired and kept me on. I’m a People helper, People pleaser, and most of all I love making People happy. I have learned, that honesty, trustworthy, not doing the job half tail(putting it politely), and being respectful, and following rules of an income business (paying taxes on your income) you will be blessed with your results. I never looked at my business to be greedy in money. First priority was my Peoples. I have been able to purchase things for myself, paying for my own vehicle, buying a nice sewing machine(my hobby is making quilts), it makes me feel good doing something good. The Cleaning business is just as important as any other business. Yes it can seem boring, but it’s what you make of it. Learn your system, do that system each time, and be consistent and your Peoples and you will reap the reward. Happy cleaning Y’all

This felt like very healthy advice in general about finding contentment and confidence inside and our own personal definitions of success. And cleaning career being for people okay with the repetitive routine. For me, I think cleaning can be pretty meditative or nice time to think and get a little exercise and clears energy too. The before and after and helping people is satisfying and so is gradually improving at techniques. We're reminded these days cleaning can even save lives.
