Having less not only means that u really love what you have-, for me it changed organizing / cleaning from a core to a small routine of self love. I also love that everything in our home is intentional. That moving is a breeze. Does not hurt that our small home gets "bigger" bc we don't share it with mindless stuff 😀

A little garden bistro set could work as a dining table in that space in your living room. When I had a 1-bedroom apartment, I bought a bistro set (small, round glass top table w/two chairs) and it was just the right size for a small area. You have your apartment arranged so cozily, it's adorable. Since I found your channel, your videos have helped motivate me to declutter more than anything else - thank you so much for that!

You may have already worked out a solution to Sampson barking in the car, but if you haven't....keep a tiny metal container (make sure it has a lid) by your side and fill it with a couple of coins. Every time he barks, give the tin a few vigorous loud shakes, while saying in a deep voice 'No speak'. Only use it when he barks and at no other times. In the confined space of the car, the loud rattle should startle him enough to stop. Our doggy only needed to hear this a couple of times and she completely stopped barking in the car forever more. It was a technique I learnt at Dog Training and it really works. The trick is to ONLY use it for vital situations. PS I love your cutie pie bathroom 😍

Also, it is surprisingly nice to see you tidy and clean the same spaces again and again, because that is how real life is. Many channels will do "See my massive deep clean/huge declutter" and then you get the impression that it stays like that forever with just a little dusting and vacuuming now and then. This feels real and much more motivating, because I can identify with it.

If you're looking for an alternative to the tape you shared in your clothing care box, I highly recommend the 'Hollywood Fashion Secrets' styling tape. It has a really strong hold, is easy to apply and I get them in the little tins so I can take them on the go, to an event or travelling.

I get so excited when I am cooking and I can use up several items before they go off. Lately I've been cooking more than one thing at a time so I can have leftovers, so I can usually find a way to use them all up so I don't lose them. I love making soups, the house always smells so good. We also do set up bill paying which does save a ton of time. I don't automate groceries though because I never know what I'll be in the market for, but I do a lot of pantry shopping via Vitacost and take advantage of their sales, and double sales. I'm definitely going to look into Misfits. I really loved the video this week. A whole house redo. Hi to Samson!

I switched to reusable hand cloths for kitchen and bathroom cleanup. I haven't bought paper towels in 2 years. It takes some time to find the one you like but when retailers begin to give you less squares per roll I am not affected. Same with tissues. I invested in some solid cloth hankies and never buy disposables and can still blow my nose with pride. I respect those that can go this far with tp also but I just can't. I did install a water bidet though and that helps to cut down on so much usage. I need more videos like this in my life. Thank you for the motivation.

I like the papaya reusable paper towels and use them but still use paper towels to drain bacon and other times I’m cooking or patting dry salmon etc. working on being more sustainable it’s a gradual shift. Love that you do this !

So gratifying watching this video and I got some ideas of projects I need on my list. Tidy up the bathtub grout, add hinges to a door for the water heater, paint my bathroom before the new shower curtain comes, add some things to paperless option so I don’t get paper clutter, digitize my photos to make room in the closet, find a new small dining table, draw a new layout for the closet to incorporate the hubs things too, get rid of the armoire in the living room, buy a smaller cabinet where the armoire is, add a little art to the house, get my carpets cleaned…😂 I’m on a roll for sure. Carla, I wish your landlord would remodel your kitchen even if it’s just countertops and paint oh and new sink & faucet. It could be done for under $1000 since you don’t have much counter top. It’s the demo that might cost a bit. 😊 Fingers crossed and sending remodel vibes your way. I love your old stove. ❤

I love that misfits market idea, here in Germany some supermarkets have been selling "ugly veggis" that are a bit oddly shaped or smaller than usual, for cheaper, and they usually sell super well. And we have food sharing organizations, those have saved my butt the last week because I've been sick and unable to cook, but my roommate collected leftovers from the cafeteria at our university (who takes part in food sharing) , so I ate that :) Kisses to Samson!!

Have you thought about putting the two books in your closet (the Georgia O'Keefe and the other one) on the coffee table with the other books there? It just seems such a shame to keep a lovely book like that, which is made to be looked at and browsed through, in your closet where it is probably only seen by you (and then not the inside).
