Thankfully nothing bad happened to me, but it was def an embarrassing moment for sure. Someone at that supermarket must've stored that toast next to soap.

I was just going to say, I’ve only cleaned a fake tree once: I got one for free from my friend’s attic, and it smelled like a combination of attic musk and perfume. When I was 9-10, we ran out of dish detergent and the dishes were stacking up. I decided to remedy this by putting dish soap in the dishwasher, using the kid logic of "it's just a different type of soap, right? It should have the same effect. I should put more in just in case, though." Soap bubbles went EVERYWHERE! It took about two hours to fully clean and ensure nothing got damaged. While my mom was absolutely furious, she understood my mistake. I learned my lesson and never did it again. I'm thankful that we were just waiting until the weekend to get to the store and not horribly broke or anything. I'm baffled that not only adults are doing this, but actively encouraging it!

Here’s what I will say about the Christmas tree thing: I’m allergic to dust and dust mites, and honestly, I try to clean my holiday decor as much as possible because it sits in a basement for the whole year and then I pull it up again. I go even crazier for dusting my living areas and stuff. When I spend hours getting over sixty shots to find out I’m allergic to something so difficult to manage sometimes, I’m gonna go a little cleaning crazy. And if you’re buying a tree off a display like the display models at Home Depot, you don’t know who has touched that, so that’s also fair.

What! I had to get 10$ for my laundry detergent and it lasts for weeks
@SGastАй бұрын
I tried really hard to come up with a reason to do this. I could see a benefit if you had kids that that were just learning to do laundry and might add way to much liquid detergent but then why not just have some small containers where you preportion it once a week or something.

those explosive dishwasher pods are very colorful and bright, which could be super dangerous if you have young children in the house. they might see that, think it’s a dessert, eat it, and could have something really bad happen to them.

Yeah, I've hosed a fake one we use outside with animal safe cleaner.. But to be fair, we decorate that one with things specific to the wildlife that doesn't migrate with nesting materials (Crows and squirrels build nests in late winter here) cat and dog treats, shiny stuff for the little thieves and bird food ornaments rather than bird feeders. We don't have kids so we focus more on charity and wildlife.

If you want your toilet to look pretty just get a nice looking toilet seat, switch the handle hardware for something fancier like brass, and maybe as a shelf above where the tank is (not on the tank. You need to be able to access it easily) to keep extra toilet paper rolls and air freshener. After that just wipe it down and clean normally. That's it. Those excessive toilet stamps are not only dangerous but ugly looking in the first place

@Eppon6Ай бұрын
The worst part about those razors is that almost none of them are the non-reusable ones. They are almost all the type where you just swap the head and keep the handle whenever you need to replace one. And from experience, those things can last a long time, EACH, if you wash out as many hairs as you can after each use. They have refill packages. And all of them are for practically the same areas of your body. A person needs 3/4 razors maximum. 1 for the face/head, 1 for legs/body and one for the below the belt area. SOME people might have one extra for the face for special contouring and shaping of facial hair.

I quit using all social media in 2017 besides youtube and it was the best thing I ever did. I mean, depending on how your fake christmas tree has been stored for the year, it might be dusty or have gotten genuinely ditry somehow, so giving it a clean before setting it up in your living space is not the worst idea, within reason. A good quality fake christmas tree will last you for 20+ years easily without the need of cutting a living one every year, but in that case, proper storage and keeping it clean and nice is also important.

@KierstenShjervenАй бұрын
Also, if you have razors like she did that have those, I guess, gel things, constantly making them damp will make that gel useless and gross looking, not to mention rusting the metal of the blades. If I went over to someone’s house and used their shower with a wall of razors, I’m leaving lol
@amandalovatsisАй бұрын
@@KierstenShjerven On top of that, most of those shavers have replaceable razor heads. So you don't even need more than one, or any backups at all, when you're talking about the object as a whole. Also, shaving sucks as a hair removal method anyway and the absolute waste that is a result of this disposable option is gross.
