I am VERY impressed with this multi purpose cleaner and I think it did a fantastic job! Being able to dilute it and still have a powerful cleaner is a huge plus and will extend the product. I use Extra Tough more than any other APC or degreaser in my arsenal. It’s so versatile depending on the dilution ratio. It will clean really dirty wheels and tires diluted 1:1 or 2:1. It will not harm paint even when used in the sun. Great for cleaning interiors diluted 10:1 or use a 15:1 ratio for light maintenance cleaning. Will not harm delicate interior surfaces like some high alkaline all purpose cleaners.

Can you put full strength superclean on your vehicle and let it sit or let it sit in the sun for hours, even overnight? I wouldn't, too caustic! I never have to worry about that with this product. I use 15:1 dilution ratios all the time. I clean interior/exterior of car, my house, my retaining wall, my carpet and it never bleaches even at full strength...plus it doesn't stink, burn my hands or irritate my lungs. I've never done that with superclean.

Chisel it off! It will wear off eventually, but using a strong cleaner like this straight should strip it off

They both do an awesome job in what I have seen. It's really about personal preference...some guys like using certain products for whatever reason they choice. Its up to them. Super Clean is still one of my go to products for heavy degreasing, apc rinsing, and so on. But i like to also try other products to see how they work. I really like how Extra Tough isn't as caustic as many heavy cleaners, the scent is barely noticable to me. Even my wife notices that it doesn't smell as strong as super clean but still works just as well.

The pressure alone didn’t remove much. The tire gunk was heavy sludge. It need cleaner to remove it, pressure alone is useless.

Woah woah woah....Calm down, You took what I said and went way off the deep end...I said, "the tire gunk was heavy sludge, it needs cleaner to remove it, pressure alone is useless". NOT that it's useless altogether. I meant in this context...Please don't take my words and twist them, read everything and ask questions. I'm not speaking in generalities here, I am answering a direct question that he asked about this particular instance. What YOU should have said was: "It's true that pressure alone won't break up that brake dust, but it does aid in the cleaning process. Did you try both the pressure washer first without chemical and then with the chemical to see which works better?" Then I would have said "Yes I have used the pressure first to see what would happen and I know from experience that wheels with heavy brake dust don't always come clean with that alone. So in this instance, Chemical is needed to really clean the wheel."

I think some people see either to much or not enough and then they make statements that really don’t need to be said. I bought a 2001 jeep Cherokee I don't think the wheels have ever been washed. I have never seen aluminum wheels this badly neglected. They are not scratched, just ultra nasty. Do you think theres hope, or do I need to have them steam cleaned? Thanks in advance.

Hi. Are the wheels clear coated? If they are you can clean them with strong cleaners like high alkiline or acidic wheel cleaners. If they are uncoated aluminum they will need heavy polishing after cleaning to make them look new again. Clean a small portion of the wheel first and then use a microfiber towel or pad and a little polish to rub a small section of the wheel. If the pad turns black that means it uncoated aluminum.

@@MirandaDetailing I believe they are coated. They're factory wheels. I just got a bottle of Sonex. I used my Tornador on it and they laughed at it. I used a nylon brush but it's like I'm trying to drive a nail with a feather. It's brake dust and years of neglect. Thanks for getting back to me. It's a garage queen. but the wheels are smokers fingers brown.

Ah ok...You may have to go more aggressive and use an acid based wheel cleaner. This is actually an acid based cleaner amzn.to/3we3Rhq you can use a scrubby pad or more aggressive brush. If it doesn't work, the brake dust may have burnt into the clear coat, you could try using a compound like you do when compounding paint and abbrade it off also.
