Flooding, neglect, animal feces, used in places rugs shouldn't be like outdoors, fire damage etc. There's lots of ways something can get dirty. Nothing magically stays clean forever

This rug appeared to be the victim of a flood. If so, it is nothing short of heroic you were able to remove all the silt. To have revived the colors was amazing. The clarity of the final rinse water is testimony to your knowing what products to use, how to apply them, and LOTS of elbow grease. Well done!

Mostly for the sake of new subscribers, I think you need to do one video a month where you put the step descriptions on screen like in the older ones. With putting that liquid on top of the deep clean, flipping the rug a second time, and finally choosing a name for the rug squeegee, this would've been the perfect one to do it on.

I believe he often gets them from the garbage dumps after people throw them out. As for how they get dirty--floods, sewer/septic issues, being left in a garage/machine shop, being disposed of in garden. . .

Y'know... I got an energy drink mix from Gamer Supps recently that looks like the dirt in those first couple seconds once you add it to water. It's called Grandpa's Ashes and tastes like light, fresh raspberries.
