Hi Auri, I have a suggestion for you! I know you obviously don't have the time or the equipment for deep-cleaning mattresses and couches, but I think it's already very admirable that you take the time to dust them and even buy new bed sheets. However, I have an idea of a little extra step you could take if you like: Maybe you could spray them with disinfecting spray for fabrics! I know Febreeze has one that's pretty cheap like 5$ for a bottle and it's surprisingly effective. Lysol has one too but it's more expensive. It also dries rather quickly so it wouldn't take too much of your time. Of course it wouldn't remove the actual physical dirt and grime, but it would kill most of the harmful bacteria, which could already make a big difference for the smell and the contamination risks. But anyways, you're already doing a lot and that's amazing honestly. Thank you for sharing those videos with us

Just so you know Auri. In the future if you do motorhome a or trailers sometimes there’s a chemical they put in the toilets that you cannot mix with any kind of bleach or bleach substance. It will put off a chemical reaction that is very dangerous. Also some toilets have a foot pedal just beneath to flush the toilet. As long as there is running water it should work.
@bookfaerie23Ай бұрын
I wouldn't be surprised if the "flooring" underneath was particle board. That stuff rots in the worst way, especially if you add water. And what do you have a lot of in the Keys? Lawd. 1300/month for a camper that's falling apart and was probably made in the 90s, based on the decor/color scheme. It's amazing it's still standing. I hope Jeff doesn't come back, either. It ought to be condemned. Good on you for giving it a good try there.
@tamaratamtammorris8151Ай бұрын
Trailers/RVs/campers/mobile homes are really not designed to be lived in full-time. They're cheaply constructed of cheap materials and fall apart quickly. But because poverty is so high in this country, many people have no choice but to live in them, even if they're falling apart like this one, because homelessness is the deadlier option.

Your mum is funny! She may not love the mess and cleaning like you do but the fact that she's still there with you says a lot about her character too.. almost like she's the one who taught you kindness and compassion! The difference you made in this trailer is incredible. Before it looked unthinkable that someone could live there. Now it at least looks like it is hopeful. I'm going to hope that the landlord made the needed repairs while Jeff was in hospital and he came home to something a lot more comfortable.

Hi Auri, I just received my order, only 4 days after I ordered! The apron, and I accidentally ordered 2 sets of microfiber cloths instead of 1. I'm actually glad I did. They are wonderful! Thank you for making them high quality! I'm sure they will last for years ❤

I loved the laughing with your Mom. I will share a story about my Mom and me. My mom hated cleaning, and I loved cleaning. I was usually a pretty good kid, but occasionally I would get sent to my room as punishment. While there I would reorganize my drawers, desk, closet and clean. I really had fun. I never thought of it as punishment. This drove my Mom crazy. She would say “what did I ever do to deserve a child like you!” LOL. But we had lots of laughs cuz we had the same sense of humor.

Girls/guys don’t feel alone if this is yourself one day, you aren’t lazy and it’s overwhelming when you’re stressing to see it’s a mess but same time your body doesn’t have energy to do anything than crying or being sad in bed while the things are accumulating, it’s like a shame loop, I’ve been on that side after suffering from depression as a victim of abuse, I left the home next day and went to live with family, but I left everything like that and I wasn’t able to go inside my house for 1 year or months, finally one day I said it’s enough and I started cleaning, again I felt depressed and I went to my family back, today I started cleaning the house after watching this video and I’m planning to move my stuff back and bring life again to the house permanently ❤ Thank you!

The little part that fell off the air conditioner was the filter. It needs to be cleaned periodically. As you can see it catches dust in the air. I really think you need a good hand vac with attachments to vacuum upholstery, and places like the ceiling. It's faster and more efficient than dusters. As always great video.

knowing how many thousands of dollars my alcoholic mother spent on these kind of bottles this is definitely not a small amount of money being wasted on his alcoholism. I feel bad but it's very likely if he stopped drinking he could afford rent.

I love you Auri, but I think you should clean places that don't need to be destroyed. It don't think that place can be "fixed", they need to burn it. It's different if you can reasonably live in a place when you're done. There are so many people that need help, and you are a blessing. I just hate to see you waste your time. God Bless you and your mom💕🙏

It's true that the trailer will not last long, but the person who lives here may not have any other option. Unfortunately that's the situation for a lot of people.
@sued1116Ай бұрын
@bibimbap_art I know this, she kept saying she doesn't know if he's coming back. I'm just saying she should find that out rather than clean that thing and it just gets thrown away. God Bless you 💕🙏

I know exactly what will happen with this RV. They will take it apart for scrap metal and parts, sell those, then trash the rest of it. There is no way that it will be profitable to completely renovate it. These things are more like vehicles than homes. They aren’t really intended to be lived in 24-7 even though people do that. If you live in a motor home or RV trailer, it takes a huge amount of maintenance to keep it up. My folks live in a regular house and they have a large travel trailer. They spend about 70 percent of their time in the house and 30 in the RV. And even then they are constantly having to do work and replace parts on the RV - and it’s a really nice one that’s only a few years old! 😬

I think vacuuming is my favorite. My least favorite is cleaning the inside of the microwave and going through my mail! I love to organize, but wish I enjoyed getting rid of stuff more.

Unbelievable the difference you made in this trailer. If I were the landlord, I would condemn the trailer. But you helped by getting it in much better condition than when you and your mother arrived!

My favorite cleaning is when it's done! Cleaning is not my favorite thing to do, but it's a necessary evil. I would have to say that my favorite chore is laundry. I love the smell of clean clothes. Matter of fact, my air fresheners scent is fresh linen. 🙂

I had to pause at $1,300 a month to rent a camper. I have no words.
@sheelfjohnsonАй бұрын
I think we really need to put a limit on people using real estate as personal income/ investment. It has driven prices up so high it's gotten out of hand. $1300 is insane for that, even when clean.
@beckyshell4649Ай бұрын
I might pay $1300 for a nice camper for vacationing but this place is a wreck even if it wasn’t filthy. The owner of the camper won’t be getting $1300 anymore if this renter doesn’t return.

Might be $1300 to rent the lot it’s on (with electric, water and sewer included). I don’t see how anyone could rent out that camper it’s made for short term use, not to live in full time 🤔
