Hey Mr knife Dr. The tiny little knife with the tortoise shell side scales, You wondered what the little spoon scoop was for , Well I think it was for snuff men would take a little spoon full and do a quick sniff up the nose. It used to be populare with men. It wasn't and isn't illegal to do, it just gave you a quick short lived energy perk. One more awesome video right up my alley loved it. Stay safe. Blessings to you. We used to chew on nettle when kids, and we would smoke rabbit tobacco, and smoke wild grapevine. We would eat sarvis berries if we could beat the horses and cattle to them. Because they would strip the bushes clean LOL Thanks Brother for sharing and for your service

The K-Bar is a traditional rigging knife.Sailors used them for marlinspike knot work and when working aloft in the rigging of a sailing ship.The blunt tip could not stab someone if accidentally dropped from aloft to the ship’s deck.

I have a Cub Scout knife made by Camillus that has similar scales to that Boy Scout knife you showed. I need to clean it up a little but it’s in pretty good shape although the main blade lock doesn’t want to engage. I’m sure that will straighten out after cleaning and some oil. I interested in learning more about that KA-BAR I’ve never seen one before.

It’s a coke spoon for snorting coke. The knife is used to chop it up fine and the spoon is for….well, you know. Neat little knife nonetheless!

Believe it is actually a snuff spoon. An Old nicotine type powder that people would snort or dip a toothpick in and hold in their mouth. That's one reason in old films you will see them have a toothpick in the corner of their mouth. Also bullriders/cowboys used snuff a lot.

It could be used for that too. As a former police officer, I know exactly what they were used for. I actually have two of them in my collection, never used, of course! 😊 His, however, did not have a third blade which is made of plastic. It looks like a SAK toothpick, however, it is used to form the cocaine into lines for snorting. My two knives both have the line forming blade. Still, all in all, a neat addition to anyone’s collection.

Shame about that Girl Scout. If I had to guess I’d say you’re exactly right the pin is bent. I have a boyscout exactly like that one and am doing exactly what you described. It had a massive wear mark on the main pin from use I guess. Anyways I didn’t have a choice but to blow it completely apart and re pin both sides. Thank you for your video’s you’ve given me the confidence to bring the old knife back to life
