I note that y'all are wearing wide open pants when y'all are doing the lawn work. If you want to avoid the chiggers, ticks, and the like, I suggest you tuck your pants into your socks as you work or put on some high boots and spray them with repellent. Also, I strongly recommend, given how wild that place has been, that y'all inspect yourselves every evening in a mirror or with your partner to make sure you haven't picked up any hitchhikers. Good luck, y'all. I've done work like that on our own home and property. It's a challenge, but once you're done, it truly feels like yours. I have truly enjoyed watching your channel through the years and appreciate you sharing your lives with us.

Hey ya'll, there's a service called dumpster crushing. There is a company I know of out of San Antonio, and I thunk there might be one in Seguin, but they're called Crushr. And they come and smash what is in your dumpster giving you more space. Than you can use the space more efficiently.

Good way to keep the biting critters off you when clearing out overgrown yards/field areas is to wear pantyhose, and yes even you Eric! It keeps the ticks and chiggers from getting to your skin, bit make sure to check for ticks that have either crawled all the way up your clothes to get above the hosiery or have dropped down on you from tall plants and trees! Definitely spray DEET on your clothing especially around the ankles and waistline and any open areas like the neck, wrists etc, and reapply every so often to your legs/ankles if your walking through a lot of tall grass and weeds doing clearing out.

Back in the 70s, our church camp was full of chiggers ....mom.was camp nurse and gave us cream of tarter pills to chew up. The cream of tarter gets deposited on your skin and Chiggers don't like it so they won't bite you. (I don't remember the dosage..feels like one wafer every morning. And you can use alcohol on those bee stings to take the sting out. (Not to be confused with the stinger 😅) Happy adventure!

As owner of 10 acres, I feel all your pain haha! And the yellow jackets are sooo bad this year!! Bees only die when they sting because our skin is so tough it rips them in half.
